I guess that stripper mentality of doing anything for money (donations) and attention is hard to break.
This just proves that she her son was nothing but a way to get both alive and dead.

This just based off my experience of dealing with kids who do sports like gymnastics and the like. Never trust a man interested in kids not his own. I know that's a shtity way to look at the world but kids suck without some kind of genetic tie to you keeping you from murdering them.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised. That or if he was abused by an adult at the gymnastics club (given how much of an abuse hotbed that sport can be).

As fucked as Paisley is, she would be a kid that could probably benefit if given access to that eyegaze technology wasted on spuds like Luna. While profoundly disabled, I'd imagine that tech+therapists that know what they're doing would help improve her QOL tons (definitely her ability to communicate).

Christian Buchanan is hardly a potato. Yes, he's legally blind and has a limb reduction defect (one hand is deformed) and gets most of his nourishment through a tube because of his severe cleft palate, but he has normal intelligence and in fact goes to regular school with an aide and an IEP. He's not totally blind, either; he has enough retinal tissue to be able to distinguish light and dark, and he's even able to distinguish some bright colors under the right conditions.

And I realize this is not what this thread is supposed to be about.

Well that answers my question of why they left his horror sockets gaping open like that.

ETA- still looks like a wound more than functional eye tissues though, I second the sentiment that the woman needs to get that kid some Ray Charles shades or something.

Nah hes been mentioned here before. Figured we needed some positivity with all the Archie stuff so it was good to see that his palate has healed enough from surgeries that he is being transitioned to eating by mouth.

Also, Hollie has begun posting about Archie in a way that requires her to SINGULARLY okay every person seperately to see the posts that she posts on the archie's army page.

He can read Braille and can play basic violin pieces and likes wrestling with grandpa. His mom is proud of him for getting over his fear of being fully submerged in their pool.
It must be hard to be a mom in a support group for newborns with really severe disabilities, and then the little Christians of the world grow up and hit milestones and can do things and aren’t just lumps, and your child is going to be a potato the rest of their life. Or worse they’re a violent tard you have to live in fear of.

It's telling that Archie's doctors never proceeded with a tracheostomy... because he is a corpse. You never see living people with endotracheal tubes in situ for 3 months.. usually around 2-3 weeks they opt for a trach to avoid the long term complications of having a rigid plastic tube shoved down your mouth/throat (vocal cord paralysis, tracheomalacia, mouth pressure injuries etc.) But complications of prolonged intubation are a moot point when you're already dead.

How have his tongue and gums not rotted out of his mouth yet? pneumonia, where u at?

Violent tards are generally violent for a reason. Like being resented and mistreated by the people who are supposed to love and care for them.

Lotta bitches show what the really think of, and how they treat, their disabled kids by said kids behavior.

In a perfect world, kids like that whose parents are like that could be put in the custody of a group home or some other community-based living situation, surrounded only by highly-trained caregivers who've been given thorough background checks *sigh*

A side note since I’m a knitter/crocheter .
That little orange octopus on Archie’s shoulder is a common “gift” for preemies in NICU (I’ve made a handful). The design of the tentacles evokes the umbilical cord and it seems to actually help the babies regulate their temperature, breathing and heartbeats.

Not sure why Archie has one, but it stood out to me.
