I don’t know. I watched a documentary on him once and the dude seemed really easy to set off. Several times during the doc he made himself angry just thinking and talking about petty past events. Then you hear stories about him losing his shit over jelly beans, and let’s not even mention the time he groped an old woman on stage during the Hugos. On tape, no less.

I had the experience of dealing with him on multiple occasions at a company I used to work for (we procured films, tv programs and books for him while he was working as a consultant on Babylon 5; oddly, he'd call us himself instead of having an assistant do it like everyone else would), along with seeing him a couple times at cons. Generally speaking, he was a bit cantankerous but polite, but man did he love to talk. Particularly about things that annoyed him. I didn't mind too much, since he was entertaining to talk to, but listening to his stories made it pretty clear that: a) the man could hold a grudge, and b) if he could figure out a way to get one over on someone who slighted him, he would.
Also he defended Ed Kramer I believe.

Yeah, and that literally never happens. Legitimately. No one has ever had to cross state lines to abort a pregnancy resulting from rape or incest because doing so within their home state was illegal. All states, even those with the strictest bans, have carve-outs explicitly allowing for abortions in those instances (along with life-threatening complications for the mother).
