To IRyS' manager: take your meds and sit down. If Windy-banana woman wants to stream 5 hours, let her.

Not surprising since NijiEN (especially the males) are pandering super hard to the chinks, and some of the bugmen are already out for blood very quickly after the announcements
It's not that they're pandering, Nijisanji literally has a Chinese branch and thus a high % in the territory. Only Vox is chinese fujo baiting.
IIRC most of Niji EN already unfollowed Kson a long time ago (probably just hoping for some easy clout), I think Rosemi lasted the longest but I couldn't say for sure exactly when she unfollowed. Hana, Bobon from ID and Gwelu from JP still follow her.

That being said, it will still be interesting to see whether this affects Niji EN and VShojo interactions in any meaningful way as they are pretty frequent collaborators.
Considering the first vshojo collab was that gary's mod shitshow that alone you'd think would divert them from wanting to collab.

I'm not sure if I heard it here or from her dedicated split thread in 4chan but she supposedly got fleeced when attempting to make her own merch. People underestimate how hard the behind the scenes work really is. She may have unfortunately made that exact mistake after leaving cover and decided that joining VShoujo would be better than trying to handle everything on her own. I do hope however that her contract is structured differently since VShoujo's split is different from Cover's since VS allows the streamer to keep all of their profits from streams but in return they take a waaay bigger bite from merch sales, something like 80% if the VShoujo threads are to be believed which is crazy to me especially knowing how profitable merchandising can be. There is one thing I do worry about although it might just be me being paranoid. Objectively speaking, Kson kinda failed with her move to being an indie since she not only lost a good chunk of her audience but her revenue from SC's as well. I wish her the best and Mikeneko too but if those two fail, I'm afraid that the other holo's might take it as confirmation that leaving Hololive is a bad idea and management might get even more leeway to bonk any dissent from the girls which is the last thing I want. The thought of some jackass manager telling Marine or Lamy to "do as your told or else you'll be gone and turn into Kson" fucking sickens me.
I wouldn't be surprised if kson and Rushia/Mikeneko both got sweetheart deals from Vshojo. How big of a presence did Vshojo have in Japan before this move? Well, now they have two of the top Ex-Hololive Japanese talents on their staff. To me this seems like a very aggressive move on VShojo's part. I don't really keep up with the VShojo talent, but I was enchanted by Ironmouse's raw, honest hatred of Netflix's Cowboy Bebop series. Ironmouse has had a very sad life according to what I've read, and vtubing kind of saved her.

I know that a lot of people basically hate VShojo, but honestly kson remained radioactive due to the insane Chinese antis even after she went back to being indie. Remember when Playism cancelled her appearance? So whatever I may think of VShojo (I never had any strong opinions on them really), the fact that they are willing to deal with that is a plus for me. With Rushia, it seems like her firing from Hololive was more due to cause, so while she didn't have the same problem as kson, I think she was probably lucky to be picked up by any agency. So honestly, I'm much more worried about kson and Rushia being screwed over even more than I am about them "selling out." kson is also a person who loves to work with others and was a big leader when she was with Hololive, as well as being a top talent in her own right. I think her eventually being part of another agency was almost inevitable due to that, and I suspect a lot of agencies would have done a hard pass due to not want to be targeted by her enemies. I hope she has some success from this move.

My thoughts on VShojo "talent freedom" remark is that its very easy when your members are all bunch of friends and associates. Lets see what happen to their management if they actually open the audition or recruitment to actual outsiders (hint: they wont).

KSon joining VShojo isnt shock me even abit. Remember when Coco was "Taiwaned" and graduated, the very first VTuber outside of Hololive who send the condolences is Melody? Remember when Coco explicitly wants to collab with Melody but barred for obvious reasons?

Doesnt meant that KSon is becoming lamer after joining them. KSon will be the same girl as before, just more VShojo members collab (incl. Veibae and Zen roflmao).

Has Kronii become a christian? Or is she in a cult?
What's the difference :cunningpepe:
Does anyone really give a shit about her? I feel like 99% of the western audience only cares about her because she is the girl that got fucked over by Hololive. Other than that, no one follows or cares about her.
She is streaming for 10k viewers right now, she is still a force to be reckoned with and a target for Vshojo.
But out of the three outcasts, she became the most anti-corpo, and is very unlikely to join the other two.

How the hell does Vshojo have a worse merch deal than Hololive? So if I'm reading this right how merch works is that Vshojo itself foots the production bill entirely themselves and as a result 80% of the sales goes to the company itself while the last 20% goes to the chuuba?

For Hololive when it comes to limited birthday merch for example the chuuba basically borrows the money from Hololive to produce their custom merch, after the merch is sold the chuuba than pays what they owe in production cost back to Cover while the rest of the profits goes entirely to them.
I figure the pros and cons weigh differently for people based on how often they want to run personal mech runs, if your with VShojo but don't sell that much merch, your seeing most of your viewers money yourself with subs/memberships and donations/superchats. On the other side, for Hololive they might want to sell as much merch as they can, because they see more of the profit from that, than the cut Holo takes from streaming earnings.

Reactions: You're an idiot
kinda doubt that, he still did R18 ASMR (with disclaimer) and "oversharing sexual references" streams with his audience after the incident though
Because China doesnt have the market of fujos also people need to be reminded that China doesnt APORT ANYTHING to metrics because they cant pay superchats and they dont get ads because adsense is not supported in china he can drop them like a hot potato and would not lose any revenue

He has a Bilibili he surely makes money off of and Niji has a foothold in China they would gladly drop a liver of even Vox's size to keep if it came down to it. There is no way he can just "drop them like a hot potato".

Kson realized that there is some discomfort among fans with her announcement and is now taking question under her tweet reply., and she'll respond to it in the next stream. So far, most of the worries from JP fans (which is her core audience) are if she will move to Twitch, and if there will be less stream in YT from now on. Don't see any particular hard hitting question yet.

Edit : The stream is up.
Does she address the shitty reputation of the company? What on Earth made her look at Vshojo and think, "sure, that seems like a great place to work?"

Is it possible we are overthinking the Vshojo/KSON crossover and that, the big reason might be they might just all be friends? Sounds stupid but these are women. And it isn't like VShojo takes a huge cut or does much editing of member content. Sounds like gunrun has a basic "give us a small cut and we will do the annoying business-side and merch stuff". Nothing much to gain but nothing major to lose either. Beyond a very small handful of random Youtube comments, 4chan autists, us, and jilted twitter lolicons nobody cares about the Nyanners, Froot, or Vei dramas or the rrat about Ironmouse having a daughter.
Never go into business with your friends.

But at any rate, Vshojo isn't a company which will just passively help talents at worst. It's actively a detriment to be associated with that brand. Their first gen of talent is one thing since they didn't know what they were getting into, but how is a second gen even possible given what everyone knows about the place?

I agree Gunrun must be quite talented at business, though. Must be some sort of boundless fount of charisma to not only keep existing talent but attract new ones. Dude must be one of those cult leader CEOs like Elizabeth Holmes.

Yeah, I can't really get behind that. Kson is a sensible adult woman. I don't think she'd join just because she's friends with the others.
Sensible adult woman? Yeah, after this move I'm kinda off board with the whole idea of her being some sort of genius. She made great content and maybe that'll continue under Vshojo, but she's clearly not very smart.

Asmongold brokedown how Streaming (specifically Twitch earnings) works

Basically the bigger your viewer base is the less donations end up mattering and the more Sponsorships and Ads start to matter. Subs/Memberships still make up a substantial chunk of revenue however. He of course doesn't cover merch because he doesn't do merch in particular however we do know Hololive streamers get a lot out of it, moreso than Superchats that's for sure since the only cut is from production costs.

I'm mostly just surprised because I honestly thought that Vshojo wouldn't even have that heavy of a merch cut.
