General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Not sure if anyone has brought it up yet but:

So, Kson was in LA and did no attempt at all to meet any of her old coworkers that happened to be there?

Damn
She was only there for the food :smug: (although she was force fed according to her)

@ThatDarnIrishMan can't reply directly. I understand where you're coming from with the comparison of scale. It's just that there are many people that seem to think VS will somehow implode EN VT sphere. My point is that for all the people pointing at the VS dramas, no one has actually said what tangible impact it's had on the company and its talents besides bad optics. If bad optics was enough to drive a company into the ground I feel like VS would still not be the first to go.

As an aside, are they too insignificant to matter or are they the harbinger of the final yab? “By a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.”
Eh, bad optics is often enough though, isn't it? When people talk about your company and always go "Oh yeah, remember that Nux thing?", it's not great. Their only real hopes of growth is trying to get established streamers to jump onto their platform because who would apply for them now when the last time it was a fake dox that they let happen? And then if you are an established streamer, you have to consider if it's a good idea to jump to a company with bad management and a bad reputation.

You can be both. For the Vtubing community as a whole, VShojo is totally irrelevant. For the "indie EN" scene they are a big deal. If they shit themselves and imploded, it would be the thing to make them relevant, because they're the big fish in a tiny pond. So if they went nuclear, you'd be killing the big "indie" dream....for example:

See, in my opinion, they need to be really careful now that they don't become the TNA of the Vtubing world. For none wrestling autists, TNA was a "rival" show to WWE after the collapse of the other major company, WCW. TNA had lots of young, impressive talent that they were pushing but were VERY much an "indie" show seen as being a proving ground before you moved onto bigger shows like WWE... then after WCW died a bunch of talent didn't want to work for WWE so they got hired up by TNA who tried to act like a big dog with these new recognisable names. Then anytime a WWE wrestler quit or was fired, TNA would snatch them up. Very quickly all of their own homegrown talent was buried to make room for their new "big names". TNA quickly became a joke and I think it's gone bankrupt (again). That's just what VShojo is doing with Coco and Rushia. They're picking up Hololive's scraps and they're trying to make a big deal of it... just like TNA did. TNA died a VERY hard death. Numerous changes of owners, numerous talents quitting on enmasse, several bankrupt sagas. Basically everyone ended up going back to WWE after awhile because that's where the money actually was and TNA was left with a tiny pool of nobodies, even their own homegrown talent all left to WWE to other smaller wrestling shows that had overtaken them in popularity.

That's probably quite spergy for non-wrestling fans but it was the first thing that comes to mind as someone who likes another form of niche entertainment. VS is just starting to act like TNA did in the early 2000s by running to pick up the bigger channel's cast offs. Vtubing doesn't have the same number of castoffs from big companies though as WWE would have which is a plus but it wouldn't surprise me if HL keeps growing, they'll start cutting their less well performing members. You'll have a "Baki-Ruze" appearing in VS a week after Aki-Rose gets graduated.

Is it nice to see Rushia back...I guess... but she already was back and only wasn't livestreaming because she was being such a menhera. She had a fucking new model made for Mikeneko and streamed like once... now she's changing again to be another new character lol Kson didn't need VS and Mike didn't need VS, that's why I see it as VShojo trying to catch HL's scraps, to promote themselves more than help those two. That's what TNA did and TNA shit the bed.

VShojo has like 6 members. Hololive has near 70 and NJ has over 100, both of which have numerous spheres of influence and areas of operation. HL's main issues have been generally from a single creator and then outside influences (Coco's Taiwan incident or Rushia just being a retard). If it wasn't Rushia (Number 2 in superchats) and Coco (Number one in superchats) would the dramas have been that big? No. NJ I've barely heard of any actual drama from apart from like the recent Vox thing (which blew over in 10 minutes).
Nijisanji had 2 particular yabs that didn't make as big of waves as Hololive's but they were still pretty bad and resulted in similar losses to the company (well in terms of how much was lost anyway).

First is the Roa Vs Meiro drama where Roa was accused of being a bully to Meiro behind the scenes. The drama blew up when Narukami covered it and seemingly sided with Meiro on the case and lambasted Roa. This resulted in Roa going on indefinite hiatus and Meiro graduating. After all this time it turns out Roa was most likely innocent and Meiro was actually manipulating everyone. Roa at this current point in time is pursuing a lawsuit against Narukami for defamation and is currently still on Indefinite Hiatus (it's been 2 years since the incident).

The second yab was the mismanagement of NijiKR. Nijisanji originally bought the NijiKR roster from a failing Vtuber company. After rebranding it as NijiKR they basically kept all the old management of the branch which was a bad idea as one of the reasons why the company went under in the first place was poor management. The result was almost half the branch graduating due to internal drama and fighting while NijiKR management basically did nothing. This ultimately led to NijiKR and NijiID being absorbed into the main branch but not before 2 more members decided to also graduate. NijiKR was one of the bigger KR Vtuber groups also which was a pretty bad loss.

One of the members who graduated Bora ended up redebuting as Nekota a Vtuber for VSPO. Bora was one of the biggest members in NijiKR and she's doing quite well actually as Nekota. Currently the VOD for her redebut is sitting at 1.2million views and she consistently gets thousands of live viewers.

That's where AEW sort of is nowadays, that's why we compared VShojo with AEW. Also, IMPACT never dies.

I tend to forget how much certain rrats will get pushed on here not so much because they’re credible, but because the person pushing it wants it to be.
Isn't that what a rrat is though? Someone's dumbass narrative that they construct out of circumstantial and often nonexistent evidence in order to push some retarded drama bullshit?

Rrats have a bad reputation, but can we just admit the rrat about Ollie getting fingered on stream was 100% true even if all other rrats are bullshit.

How the fuck can people in Japan not know about CCS? Why is CCS considered otaku shit, it literally got a western release and is pretty mainstream, Japan has low standards for otaku.

Im pretty sure they did I seem to recall Calli mentioning it at one point

Some clips
Welshman gets got live
Delu gets a rare clip from a clipper Im subbed to
Mizugake bullies her viewers
Christ, I actually feel bad for Cannur lmao it's an entire IRL twitch chat and he lost that hard.

Imagine what these streamers must feel like seeing all these fuckin weebs lol. Apparently ProjektMelodys roommate is in attendance as well - with a voice as distinctive as hers and a fanbase as retarded I do kinda wonder if anyone will manage to dox her...the thing is that people already know what Aethel, Connor and Nyanners look like so it's not like it'd be hard to figure out that one of the few people hanging around them outside the con is probably Melody.

So I don't mind itasha, I actually kind of like the well done ones. But a fucking Lambo for VS?! I mean c'mon, a Subaru or a Toyota I could see but aside from just being kind of tasteless in terms of the art you don't shit up a car like that. Now I'm Muv-Luv fag so I've seen a Lambo and a Lancia done up like this but these were done by the owner of the company that published what is seen as one best VNs ever made and a franchise that still (to a point) prints money. Makes me wish I kept my old Integra Type R instead of trading it in.

I think it's more like it's old as balls. I watched Sakura in the late '90s - early '00s. That's 20 years ago! It's even pre-Evangelion.

EDIT: Pre-EVA at least as it was broadcasted in my country.
