You need connections to have a good job? Real strange Russ since plenty of people get discovered in talent shows and normal audition paths. Also I have an American friend who grew up low middle class, got good grades in school, got a half scholarships, studied computer sciences and immediately got a well paying job upon graduating. In a few years after makes 6 figures Wonder who the fuck he slept with

I really doubt that will amount to anything, courts are more flexible than people seem to think. The possibility of a judge throwing a fit over a timeline that's missed by 19 hours (if even that, considering it could only count business days and it is the weekend...) is very low.

I'm with him on the Walmart on Sunday bit. Even on the odd chance that I head down to Wally World, it's never on the weekend or immediately after work. It's a madhouse.

I believe the court would have mentioned it. Every single deadline in the district and the appellate court so far counted calendar days instead of business ones.
That being said, the worst I see from this is a reminder from the court with maybe a warning tops.

I can't even imagine how shitty a lawyer would come across to even contest that. "This paperwork shouldn't be accepted because it was received 19 hours after deadline on the same weekend". How petty.

He's a disgusting spaz, but he's not wrong about the connections thing. I deadass saw this in our local school district. There were teachers with ZERO LICENSURE, and one with only an associates (you need a Bachelors PLUS state license in my state)...because they either were the family/friend of ______correct last name here, or friend/family/fucktoy of _________school board member or higher up. This, by the way, was leaked to one of the local papers and the school district very quietly fired these people.
Having said this...

I dunno if it's just me, but seems like his right lens is popping out from those glasses, wouldn't be that surprised that he'd be either clumsy or too cheap/poor to get those fixed. Also he seems heavily nearsighted based on how the image of his temples are refracted towards in the middle of his face. That's one thing you prolly wouldn't think first about his condition, must be annoying to deal with glasses with asymmetric head like that, in addition of being so dependant of them. At least to me with my glasses, if the lens isn't in right orientation it gets less effective and can cause issues with tired eyes and so on (had one lens that got ground wrong back in the day).
