Sure, I understand why the streamer themselves might want to keep their identity secret. But I don't understand why fans/people here see it as something to attack them for if they don't.The more and more people know about their real selves, the more likely it is a stalker will find their address. Now admittedly, it is very obvious and it's not like it happens to all streamers but I don't mind them using this as a safety net.
People get pissy about the smallest things. Does it really surprise you that they whine about this shit too? Plus, what else is KF for if not a little bit of drama stirring/reacting.I don't see how anyone could have any kind of intense feelings on her decision to move on with her life beyond 'I hope it goes well even if her content isn't for me anymore'.
But... That's basically what people are doing? They just add on an additional "... and this is why it isn't for me anymore" for the sake of discussion - which is making people lose their minds for some reason. I've noticed basically nothing can be discussed in this thread without people finding it problematic in one way or another. Makes me wonder what the point of the thread even is. Just sharing funny clips? Surely there are better venues for that.I actually completely agree with the sentiment, for what it's worth.
I think having 50 members all operating within rigid boundaries, and then employing a total renegade, obviously makes them super interesting. If not for the circumstances surrounding the Taiwan shit she'd probably still be there, but the reality is that she left and she was never coming back, so I don't see how anyone could have any kind of intense feelings on her decision to move on with her life beyond 'I hope it goes well even if her content isn't for me anymore'.
It most likely is about Kson considering the two of them live together. It could be unrelated to Kson, but Kanata has an emergency meeting with the management of Cover today.
Shitposting, sharing alternate indentity info, discussing said info, talking about happenings/info from streams to get a bigger picture in a less chaotic/speedy enviroment. If I even want to actually talk about something that relates to my Oshi that isn't 100% positive or might be interesting to the inner workings of the company she works for, this place is great. I'll add that I refuse to use discord for this shit and I've already been reading shit on this website for 7ish years.Makes me wonder what the point of the thread even is. Just sharing funny clips? "She's doing what?! With who?!!"It could be unrelated to Kson, but Kanata has an emergency meeting with the management of Cover today.
AsaCoco was definitely stopped by management mostly in response to both YouTube's rampant demonization at the time and trying to keep her from potentially causing more trouble after the Taiwan yab (which I don't particularly agree with). On the topic of Kiryu Coco, the locust queen, I will say only this. I highly enjoyed Asacoco Live, it was legitimately entertaining and a breath of fresh air. However she quickly stopped making those - whether because of management or because preparing the skits took a lot of time and coordination (which I believe she had alluded to and which was frequently used to shitpost about her being lazy) - and her content became unfunny quickly… and then she started to pander hard to reddit. I remember hatewatching the meme reviews with /vt/ initially before I dropped off her content almost completely.
If you think about it, it's not like she actually particularly wanted to be a talent. Hell, even her fellow members often remarked how helpful she is and I think it was one of the things she is beloved by them for (ironic if she truly wanted to become a manager originally).AsaCoco was definitely stopped by management mostly in response to both YouTube's rampant demonization at the time and trying to keep her from potentially causing more trouble after the Taiwan yab (which I don't particularly agree with).
Outside her leaving because she wanted more freedom it's pretty obvious she didn't even want to pursue the whole idol aspect in Hololive any further.
From what I remember I think she originally did apply for a management or support position but in a sort of spur of the moment/thought it would be fun sort of moment she ended up entering herself as Gen 4 member. It's like it A-chan decided to be part of the Gen lineup. If you think about it, it's not like she actually particularly wanted to be a talent. I have Kson's stream playing in the background. My nipponese is none existent but did I just see that one slide right? Is VShoujo taking 100% of her merch profits in exchange for (I'm assuming) her keeping her stream income. That can't be right. Can someone fluent in JP check? I just... I can't believe she'd take a deal like that. There has to be some kind of nuance to it.
She said theirs no revenue split and that the main way to support the company itself is buying the merch. So yes Merch as it turns out goes 100% to Vshojo while the Chuubas get 100% of donations and memberships.I have Kson's stream playing in the background. I'm looking at the live TLs so I may be misinterpreting as well, but there's merch and then there's merch.I have Kson's stream playing in the background. Okay. So she gets to keep profits from her personal store but surrenders all profits for I'm assuming merch sold by VS? Am I getting that right?I'm looking at the live TLs so I may be misinterpreting as well, but there's merch and then there's merch.
55:54 My pop-up store is my personal project, so none of the earnings there are going to VShojo.
This is obviously corpo shilling even Holo/Niji have their fair share of cons. There is no such thing as perfect company. She said theirs no revenue split and that the main way to support the company itself is buying the merch. On another note
1:00:31 Question: What pros and cons are there to joining VShojo?
1:00:47 Answer: Pros: Tech support, safety, legal support / Cons: Nothing
