There is this fan webcomic called vast error, which is basically a homestuck fancomic, well its hard to even a homestuck fancomic because its a entirely new story with new characters and world. The only thing that stays the same is the world and the fact that the main characters are playing a game. But I digress, this webcomic has a big following, and you know what that means, a lot of bad fanart. I chose one of my favorites, the character which is being redrawn is Edolon Vryche. As you can see the original, while having a good amount of edge, its quite likable, a little disorienting and hard to look at for long periods of time but is not horrible to look at. And conveys a trait of the character, the fact that he is quite unhinged.

The redrawn is plain out uncanny, which is fine if you want to make something creepy. Which is not what the original is trying to do, its trying to make you feel frightened and threatened but not creeped out, the redraw is also just hard to look at and the anatomy of the head is all off, which the original did not have to worry about, mainly because the original art style was mostly utilitarian. But the artist within the restraints of a utilitarian art style, made it look good through color choice and exaggerated anatomy. Which worked because it was cartoony. The problem is that the person redrawing the picture was using a alot more realistic style, but they still wanted the over exaggeration of the original. Which ended making it look uncanny. Showing that making something realistic is not always better.

I think Trey and Parker should add a joke or make a episode on this. They did something similar when doing the tweek x craig episode. But that was more or less used as a tool to show the real message. But still, it would be funny seeing the South park fandom going haywire on being made fun at. Though they do watch South park so they must have some thick skin, especially if they can get pass episodes like Cissy.

Yeah, but Human Kite's character sheet exists and at least they have an excuse. You could debate that this is just an OC but the same could also be argued with any other playable character in Fractured But Whole, even the "normal" characters.

Though, it doesn't matter if they're in fourth grade when South Park characters already know about sex (and had a gender war over it), some of them interact with porn and at least one of them has shagged a prostitute. There are way worse things in the show (and that the fandom creates) and this ain't it. At least check the source before throwing out this "gotcha" again.​
