Guys, just because she's of Dutch descent doesn't mean she's actually in the Netherlands. By all accounts, she was born in America and lives in Canada.

Edit: For the ESL farmers - a lot of times in melting pot countries like the US and Canada, we'll say something like "I'm Dutch" or "I'm Italian". We don't actually mean we're from those countries, we mean our family lineage can be traced back to those countries originally.

Completely baffling to me how YouTube is such a shit platform they had to result to doing this. Has any other VTuber fallen to a similar problem?

Coming out of lurking just to correct this one, as it has been discussed a few times in the last couple days or so... Gura was getting into DANGEROUS territory with this one, as you can find in this very thread itself that Ame's roommate's name is Rebecca Cardenas (someone was asking for hololiveen's real names a few pages back, so if you're still here, look at post 65226 for a quick summary of Myth). Pretty sure Gura got a big chewing out by mane-san after, as making a reference to another's past life (like ame did) may be borderline ok, but Gura making a reference to Ame's REAL name is a big no no.

For context for those not in the know, in a minecraft stream Ame casually mentioned to Gura that she had a dream about the plural of moose... which was a big reference to a stream of Gura's old acct as Senzawa, where the word of the day 'meese' came from asking the very same question Ame did. At that time, there was still a big question mark about Gura's identity if it was "HER" or "not HER", so this was a big clue leaning towards to the former. And with Gura retaliating against Ame by mentioning a possible nickname (Becca) to Ame's real name (Rebecca, which was pretty much confirmed at the time because of 'Amegeddon'), at that point it solidified in most people's minds that Gura was indeed Senzawa.
