General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

This is something I have always wanted to talk about but too lazy to type out all the words, but here we go.

As a long time Teamate, I have always been low-key annoyed by people using Ame's name to shit on Cover's management. Not necessary referring to KF, but the community in general. Like for example, there have been a few times in Reddit where someone made an appreciation thread for Ame (in regards to the background work she did on some of the special streams), there were always a few jokers who went "WHY ISN'T MANAGEMENT THE ONE HANDLING IT INSTEAD?!?!".

It specifically annoys me because Ame, as far as I know, has never at any point expressed annoyance or dissatisfaction towards the management, not even a slight hint. Every time she brought up the management, it was always to express her gratitude for the support they provided behind the scenes. In fact, in one of her recent member streams, someone, a long time member I should say, tried to bait her to shit on the management with a cringe SC, she basically called him out and reiterate that management is only being helpful and doing their job 99% of the time.

Even in this thread, I know there were many of you specifically annoyed with how she has to be the one to handle the 3D mocap where Cover can't or won't, while I'm just being happy for her since I know this is something she really loves doing.

Another thing that confused me is that people always treat the lower management as separate entity, with quotes like "besides Jenma, J-Chad, Henma, Enma, etc the management is bad". To me, lower management is still considered part of the management, and if you have to separate them out before you can shit on the management, maybe they're not doing such a bad job after all.
Agreed. Then again, some criticism of management is still warranted, even if Ame herself would never say it or even think it. She is incredibly humble, which is not always a positive in my view.

Workers picking up the slack of management and even defending it can actually be damaging to the company as a whole. Obviously that's hyperbole in this situation, but criticism of Cover because of Ame's activities are not always unwarranted.

I could simply say ''Welcome to the internet, where people will shit on and hate on anything just because'' but you already knew this and your post was quite an insightful POV of Ame regarding this ''controversial'' topic.

Yeah even here on this thread peeps be hating on management and or Cover as if they knew any better about the logistics or talent management and all the shit that goes behind the scenes.

Interestingly enough Gura mentioned management yesterday as well. I'll be paraphrasing but she basically said

G: Jenma is the best manager hands down.
Sperg: But Gura, what about Enma, J-Chand, Omega?
G: I don't even know who they are. Like when call them those names idk which one you're referring to.

Anyways, Gura seems to be quite happy with her manager as well and I'm glad Ame spoke out to that sperg doing the usual whining.

Because lower management is, in fact, not even close to the same as upper management. This goes for any company, not just Cover. Any big ask seems to be shut down by upper management. Just because they are labeled as "managers" doesn't mean they have any say in what Cover upper management is willing to do for the talents or how shit goes down. The most they can do is present the talent's case and ultimately act as a messenger for the talent when they want something.

Seriously, something as simple as getting the okay to come up with a mascot for IRyS took over 6 months and you really want to say Cover has all their shit together?

I think very little of it honestly.

From a business perspective the girls mascots are part of their marketing, convincing the company to hand over control of an aspect of marketing taking 6 months is probably the least surprising thing I've heard recently since corporate marketing decisions and branding decisions taking that long is fairly normal.

And that's kind of the thing a lot of the time the shit the girls get to deal with is often pretty standard company and corporate shit. not just in the vtuber sphere but just with companies in general. When <employee A> wants to introduce and push through a marketing or branding Idea at Adidas, they have to wait months and jump through stupid hoops too. The only difference is no one simps for the Adidas employees and feels offended on their behalf that "they have to deal with this bullshit"

There's like a certain point in the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole where enthusiasts just completely lose me aesthetically, not just with this but I see it a lot with keyboard obsessives.

The main body of the board looks weird and overly busy with the flatness of the keys. the choice of random bright blue and red keys for escape and enter clash with every other color on the board.

This thing's an eyesore to me and I don't know why but it feels like this is commonplace among keyboard enthusiasts.
It definitely does not appeal to me aesthetically, but hopefully Kiara likes it. It's mainly the mismatch between the keyboard body and keycaps, yeah. Also guessing a significant amount of diminishing returns with things like the switches, but what do I know (never spend above 150 total on a keyboard, and even when I spent more than 100 for a 75%, I felt like I was pushing diminishing returns, still miss my numpad).

The things you are talking about would make sense if they were issues affecting the company on a wider-scale taking that long. Having to take 6 months to make a decision for a single talent is an absurd level of micro-management.

All I know is IRyS does seem to get the shit end of the stick more than usual, and for no good reason (that we can see). She's an incredibly naive dork, but she is a sweetheart. She deserves better.

Orange woman is taking fellow orange woman on a Europe trip in November. Nene's Husband in shambles.
Europe is 3rd world at this point, and Japanese suffer from Paris syndrome, nothing good will come of this and I legitimately hope they have a safe trip and avoid the cities.

I wouldn't say it's deja vu, it's one thing to mess around with your boss but when you become part of the competition for a rival company it hits different.

Part of me thinks Kiara overdose things, but Pekora was really sweet. Her present is Haachama tier btw
*pukes is clickbait btw, she just gags.
