All I know is IRyS does seem to get the shit end of the stick more than usual, and for no good reason (that we can see). She's an incredibly naive dork, but she is a sweetheart. She deserves better.

I think the issue with IRyS is the expectations on whatever Cover really wants for a VSinger vs what IRyS would rather be doing. Like, IDK if they just did not properly convey it to her, but I feel like IRyS would be much happier with a position closer to Calli's, Suisei's, and Watame's, where she had far more control over the music that is being made under her behalf. IRyS herself does a great job, but a lot of her songs are just plain uninspired compared to songs closer-controlled by the individual. talents

For me, it kinda comes down to two things: My general opinion on Cover in terms of Myth (Minus Calli) and Council is that I personally think they could be doing more, but it isn't the worst thing ever. My opinion when it comes to IRyS is that they are fucking retarded.

I don't know if she has to censor it as much as she is or not but I get the wish to be safe over it since everything has to be sanitized anymore. I kind of agree with both takes given on management here. Most of the girls are pretty vocal about their personal managers and such being generally good and supportive as far as I've ever seen. Several being pushed into visiting doctors and doing general health things iirc. It almost always seems to get fucked higher up in the chain when some dumb shit does happen though. Which isn't shocking since the higher you go the less they'll give a fuck. Or the more hard lined they seem to be about "How profitable is this?" and other old people corporate bullshit. So a blanket statement doesn't make sense to me.

I definitely don't get what the actual problem is with IRyS though. She's consistently running into issues almost nobody else has at all to the point I wish someone would just come out and say "Look we really fucked up." Whether it's issues with the artist, really pushing for a redesign or whatever the Hell. It's like they toss her a couple bucks with a song to perform, give her a pat on the back and toss her out the door until the next song.
This actually makes me really curious what an original EP would sound like compared to the songs she's been putting out.

This is something I have always wanted to talk about but too lazy to type out all the words, but here we go.

As a long time Teamate, I have always been low-key annoyed by people using Ame's name to shit on Cover's management. Not necessary referring to KF, but the community in general. Like for example, there have been a few times in Reddit where someone made an appreciation thread for Ame (in regards to the background work she did on some of the special streams), there were always a few jokers who went "WHY ISN'T MANAGEMENT THE ONE HANDLING IT INSTEAD?!?!".

It specifically annoys me because Ame, as far as I know, has never at any point expressed annoyance or dissatisfaction towards the management, not even a slight hint. Every time she brought up the management, it was always to express her gratitude for the support they provided behind the scenes. In fact, in one of her recent member streams, someone, a long time member I should say, tried to bait her to shit on the management with a cringe SC, she basically called him out and reiterate that management is only being helpful and doing their job 99% of the time.

Even in this thread, I know there were many of you specifically annoyed with how she has to be the one to handle the 3D mocap where Cover can't or won't, while I'm just being happy for her since I know this is something she really loves doing.

Another thing that confused me is that people always treat the lower management as separate entity, with quotes like "besides Jenma, J-Chad, Henma, Enma, etc the management is bad". To me, lower management is still considered part of the management, and if you have to separate them out before you can shit on the management, maybe they're not doing such a bad job after all.

Not sure if retarded or just bait. There are several levels of management in every corporation (lower, middle and upper) and all of them work semi-independently from each other but all of them can lead to the company failing. We can assume that in the lower management we have each talent's appointed managers and for the most part they all seem to be fairly nice. Lower management usually deals directly with the talent (workers) and acts as the point of contact to the other tiers of management. Middle usually works with maintaining business operations and Upper usually deals with budgeting and making big financial decisions. While not fair to group all managers together people often view "management" as a single entity.

I believe there have been some minor cases of bad/useless managers on JP side but EN seems to have a pretty supportive/competent staff. We don't really know much about Cover's internal structure or how the middle and upper managers work but there seem to be some apparent issues. Shit like announcing costumes only for them to come out about 5 months later or giving the talents shit when they submit a big list of games to get permissions for (Gura).

The girls won't actively shit on management (don't shit where you eat) but whenever you hear any complaint about management even if it's some minor comment, it's usually done out of frustration (Pekora crying that they shut down her ideas).

I think very little of it honestly.

From a business perspective the girls mascots are part of their marketing, convincing the company to hand over control of an aspect of marketing taking 6 months is probably the least surprising thing I've heard recently since corporate marketing decisions and branding decisions taking that long is fairly normal.

And that's kind of the thing a lot of the time the shit the girls get to deal with is often pretty standard company and corporate shit. not just in the vtuber sphere but just with companies in general. When <employee A> wants to introduce and push through a marketing or branding Idea at Adidas, they have to wait months and jump through stupid hoops too. The only difference is no one simps for the Adidas employees and feels offended on their behalf that "they have to deal with this bullshit"

While I agree, Cover might benefit from letting the girls and even the community take care of the mascot part. Kronii got Boros. Ame got Bubba and Smol Ame, Ina got Takodachi's and Subaru got a duck. These were all created by the community or by the talent and are loved by everyone.

Lots of details were conveniently ignored. The stockings are completely different and so is the sheet they're laying on.
