To answer your question @Cauchy, it's because looking for affirmation from a bunch of faceless goons on the internet is the most pathetic shit I have ever heard in my life.

I've actually met about three trannies total who oppose letting kids troon out, so they definitely exist, even if as a minority. I'm willing to bet they loathe themselves more than the usual, due to being more in touch with reality.

I do! Long time irl friend, though we weren't close. One day he announced that he had been taking hormones for seven months and changed his name.

Today all he posts about online is Troon shit. REEEEEEEEEEEEing into Facebook about genocide, the horrors of misgendering, et al.

He said the other day that if Texas makes drag a crime that it will literally be ~too dangerous~ to go home to visit.

I knew another one on Facebook who wormed his way into a mod position in a tiny girls-only fashion group, posted shots of his bad makeup and obese body in crop-tops. He also made the rule that no one was allowed to criticize anyone for any reason. Fortunately, when people started to leave because of that - including me - the group kicked him out of being a mod and rescinded that rule.

I could go on, but I think that's enough power leveling. Don't assume that we don't know trannies because we trash talk them, a great number of us were fine with them up to the point we met one.

I work in a major city, and I consider myself center-left-leaning. I'll give you a serious, non-shitposty answer.

I know three, that I work with, have for years, and occasionally have to socialize with outside of work. I have never in my life met a group of people more miserable, more entitled, more jealous and more delusionally hostile than a trans. Their "friends" are all some form of poly, or queer, and they're all constantly embroiled in shitty drama they feel like they have to drag others into.

I'm not opposed to letting adults do what they want with their lives and bodies, so long as it doesn't hurt others. I disagree with getting unalterable surgery and see it as barbaric as lobotomies were.

Overall, you take the most arrogant, most miserable portion of society, sell them some magical "cure-all" and make them even more psychotic. You then protect these people at all costs, from criticism to disagreements, and the loudest ones are handed megaphones by mega corporations to spew dumb bullshit wherever you go. These same loud, nasty eunuchs then start telling you that your children need to be exposed to this barbarism and you shut down parents that object, citing "transphobia" for every single little thing you dislike.

I actually do.
He was a kid, about 4-5 at the time I met him at my job as a camp counselor. Kid couldn't possibly have known better but his (adoptive) MBP mom convinced everyone he identified as a girl. When we asked him about it (we were forced to buy into the delusion) he said "my mom says I'm a girl". I left that job years ago and haven't heard about him since but based on the way the story was going it seems his mom is going to try to turn him into the next Jazz Jennings, and frankly fuck that. Fuck trannies, fuck tranny enablers, and fuck faggots for getting the conversation to the point at which we can even contemplate this shit.

Nah, for me personally the first reason I dislike trans people that comes to mind is because their ideology is based around self obsession and the need for control.
Combine those two elements and it makes it a big mistake to ever trust them or allow them to participate in just about anything, because they'll continue trying to grab up power and make it more and more about themselves until they either take over and run things into the ground, or they're stopped.

People who weren't useless narcissists wouldn't even have the idiot idea of their "gender" ever cross their mind, and they have other healthy productive avenues for their energy instead of obsessing over their body as an outlet for control.

Then they screw up their bodies, making them an even bigger burden on the people around them than they were to begin with.

Possibly one of the only reasons this site still exists when so many others like it have fallen to pieces is because Null up there is well aware that you can't ever trust these people, and thus has a fairly strict "no tranny jannies" policy here on KF.

I know several. Some of them are perfectly fine people, at least one is a functional member of society even, though I wouldn't call any of them emotionally stable.
I'll probably be mocked for saying this, but my own issue isn't with transgenderism itself but the cultish community that's formed around it. As singular people, trans people are more or less like anybody else. That's generally how I feel about the LGBT "community" as a whole, it's not the people I have an issue with, it's the institution. I have similar views with regards to organized religion.

Gender dysphoria is not "gender crossing our mind".
It's waking up every single day feeling like something is extremely wrong and you are not who you're supposed to be. Before my transition I couldn't go a day without feeling dread that something is amiss and I'm living a fake life.
