You know what, his brain was probably on a form of gin fueled auto-pilot, since he was ending the stream and considering how much he's been save stating on Zelda II hundreds of times, he didn't realise that he actually had to do it via the in game function with FFVII, and thought he could just automatically resume from play using the save state.

Funny though how he made it to the save screen and completely forgot to do it, he was too obsessed with chat and the sound of his own voice to pay attention to what he was actually supposed to be doing, I wonder how he's going to explain his reasoning the next time he boots the game up

it's really funny how he's blatantly ignoring DNF Duel's release and getting pissy whenever it's mentioned, this faggot went out of his way to play the Granblue fighter but "this one" is too close to Guilty Gear to the point of triggering him.

Granblue was touted as a "Super Turbo but more anime" so Phil fell for it and obviously, it features characters like Bubs or Ladiva.

DNF from the get-go was shown as a pure anime FG, which Phil obviously hates. It's a shame really, because no character in that game is honest and the amount of bullshit it has hidden under it's relatively simple systems is amazing. We coulda got some real salt out of Piggy.

For better or worse I used to watch this fucker a ton on Drunken Peasants and honestly this is exactly where I saw his life going. This makes perfect sense to me. Does his brother beg as well? His brother always seemed like the one guy who might just get a job if need be.

God, I love how scuffed everything is to this day even though he's been streaming for years. Can't get anything right.

As a side question, why does Phil always talk about how in "offline play" he would destroy whoever he's losing against but not online? Even though he's presumably not played offline multiplayer in fighting games for more than 10 years and played Street Fighter weekly in the meantime (online). How does it make sense to keep saying this?

I don't think it necessarily has to be a super expensive item though. The very idea that Phil has enough things in his closet that he can make a stream of cleaning it is already bad for him. The guy who can't afford groceries, treats for his cat or a trip to the zoo, shouldn't have a closet full of never before seen items. The first item he showed, some spider web thing, could've been used on stream but it wasn't.

If Phil is to be believed then this event shouldn't be possible. But it is possible, so I guess he isn't telling the truth (what a shocker). That's why this event will be funny.

It's because when he's playing against these online players who are doing these crazy "online only" combos or "ladder type combos", these (according to him) don't translate well or at all when playing offline, because when he's playing online those scrub players use those things to exploit the match, such as lag, input delay, the game not registering his move etc.

Basically Phil for whatever reason wants his previous offline experience to translate exactly the same way when he's playing online but without any of the flaws with playing online, which will never be the case since while fighting games have come a long way to make playing online almost as good as offline, it's not quite the same especially at a high level, for the level of play Phil's at him complaining about modern day fighters just makes him look like a fighting game caveman.

Also Phil doesn't even understand what he's talking about (what else is new) when he's saying the game is glitching out or rollback netcode is actually a hindrance compared to delay based netcode, it's the complete opposite.
