Owners aren't allowed to have labor strikes, only the peasants. How does this guy think that farmers are supposed to keep the food deliveries going and also have a labor strike? That food is the farmer's labor.

It's just so weird hearing how incredibly selfish these types of people like that poster are.Owners aren't allowed to have labor strikes, only the peasants.
Apparently driving a tractor within 10m of a police officer is attempted manslaughter in the Netherlands.

Oh look, an urbanite commie with opinions on farming. This will be fun.

Yes, if you fuck with a plumber, he will turn your water off and leave. This guy being too retarded to turn his water back on makes this a terrorism.

That is because the population refuses to escalate, you can already see the police walking around waving pistols at these farmers, whom are unarmed except for their tractor which is not an armored vehicle, its DESIGNED to have has much visibility as possible so everything is glass in the cockpit. When the Summer of Peace kicked off what do you think the politicians feared more? A bunch of boomers waving flags or this:Don't disappoint me, Dutchies. Over the past couple of years, I've been through the French, Hong Kongers, American Right, Australians and Canadians revolting against their government, and every last one ended with jackboot-neck and nightstick-ass action. This time around, I want to see government members cowering in public. I want to see the apathetic/dismissive public starve, to truly appreciate the people who are in the fields from 6 - 6 every single day, rain or shine, to feed their ungrateful sacks of shit. I want the police to be humiliated. I want the little guy to rip the head off the big guy, once and for all.
Absolutely. Several times in the past 2 - 3 years, we've reached the point immediately before "critical mass", but no-one is willing to cross the metaphorical Rubicon and go all the way because they know, deep down, their lives will never be the same from that moment on. Someone needs to step forth and be prepared to sacrifice their livelihood for everyone's future, otherwise it's a slow burn for all of us.That is because the population refuses to escalate
The thing is that the Netherlands are the biggest exporter of meat in the EU. Most of those farmers aren't crop farmers but animal farmers. You don't need meat to keep your population fed. but what does create shortages are blockades of distribuition centers and highways. While a court had ordered that the group Farmers Defence force who blocked distribuition centers pay a fine of 100.000 € (this was from 2019) I wonder if they will again order these fines. Let's not forget how the Dutch acted when the goverment came down with covid restrictions in late fall last year: there were violent protests in response. Maybe that is the reason why the goverment is currently holding back with any heavy handed response despite some politicians and lawyer calling for actions. How does this guy think that farmers are supposed to keep the food deliveries going and also have a labor strike? That food is the farmer's labor.
But it's being done entirely on purpose.clueless government bureaucrats
It's being done on purpose, yes, but you'd have to be both spectacularly retarded about both human nature and history to not realize the end result. You don't get to engineer a brave new world. You get to either flee the country or go into hiding once the rank and file police and army realize that they too have families to feed and either stand down or join the lynch mob.But it's being done entirely on purpose.
No it's not. I live in EU and hadn't it been for this site I would not have known. The world is watching, Dutchbros, stay strong.
There was that one story about how clueless they are, when they handwaved away somebody's concern about how they can maintain their bodyguards' loyalty when it all goes to hell. They are utter midwits. It's being done on purpose, yes, but you'd have to be both spectacularly retarded about both human nature and history to not realize the end result. If you want to see any real revolution you need civil war and division among the “elites” as I am loathe to call them that.Don't disappoint me, Dutchies. Over the past couple of years, I've been through the French, Hong Kongers, American Right, Australians and Canadians revolting against their government, and every last one ended with jackboot-neck and nightstick-ass action. well this isnt realy a peasant revolt, its more of a rural revolt. they, like the germans town near by have also a 1000 years of democratic rule at a local level.Peasant revolts have historically failed because there’s no lasting power structure and a few well placed middle managers, politicians, and CEOs in position to shit on the rest, even if it’s for personal gain, will be more than enough to turn the tide. I think that’s why I got excited about Trump in the first place. You want this division and break away.
You need farm animals to have productive crops, where else are you going to get manure? Every single thing the farmers do is recycled back into production in some form or another. The modern agri-industry is extremely efficient while dealing with a dual mandate of not allowing themselves to compete the entire industry into insolvency, subsidies are designed to keep grocery prices at acceptable prices for consumers while also giving enough leeway for farmers to turn a profit, it also helps the industry to leave fields fallow for a number of years to replenish the soil. Most of those farmers aren't crop farmers but animal farmers. You don't need meat to keep your population fed.
