Can Russtard actually eat Subway or does he have to rip off small bits of it and then just baby bird it down? And that picture of the lab is adorable. That's the closest that Russtard will ever get to that word being anywhere near him.

OK, now I feel like I'm being targeted. Are you trying to give me a hint?

Just kidding. I'm well aware how uncool I am. And I'm OK with my uncoolness.
Didn't notice the "cool" in front of your name. But seriously you're a practioner of Dudeism which is a respectable calling in life. I dig it.

Appeals court is already mad again. They found two more mistakes in the correction made by Russ' lawyers:

They are given 3 more days to fix it
These lolyers of his are fucking retarded. But then what did we expect from people who would unironically take Russtard as a client?

What is WRONG with these people? I'd get it if they were doing it for clout, but how do such displays of clerical incompetence do that?

Anyone who looks up these clowns now knows they're utter idiots.

This is just ludicrous and I infer from the language (as cut and paste as it is) that the court is actually running out of patience with this bullshit.

I would never hire lawyers at any price who apparently exist just to offend the court.

PROTIP: always look at the rules, and more importantly, the local rules. They might let it slide if it's your first time there, but if you've already gotten on their nerves, they might just not.

Does anyone know if Russ's lawyers might be trying to fuck up in some way that could get them tossed off of the case without eating too heavy of a sanction?
I am certain they'd have an easier time by just informing the judge that their legal strategy fundamentely clashes with Russ' and asking to be taken out.

And on a meta point, I think the bar exam needs to be a lot harder to keep idiots like this from practicing law.

Imagine your sales pitch to your new employer is that you did "pro bono" (more like ANTI bono) work for a dude who thinks rape should be legal.

Good job. Great choice of "pro boner" client.

Everything these idiots have done in this case reflects poorly on their future prospects.

In this case, being pro bono/legal aid/state assigned (i forget the name in usa) absolutely makes a difference.
His shit tier lawyers are making shit tier mistakes.
Judges are used to this, but the extensions are definitely going to put a bad taste in the judges mouth.
Every lawyer starts somewhere; they have an even harder than most because Rusty knows a bit of legalese and can direct their arguments.
If they aren’t shitting themselves and dragging things out on purpose, I applaud them for whatever it is they’re doing.
Pro Bono and legal aid are different things.

Pro Bono means they're just taking on the case for free (as there's some inherent benefit to the firm taking on the case), while legal aid/state assigned is a lawyer retained by the court on behalf of the person. Legal aid is also free. However, in civil cases like this, legal aid wouldn't necessarily be given to a plaintiff.

This is just shitty work by amateur-hour lawyers. They should have an actual, well-experienced paralegal working with them, and no, not Russ, but clearly that's a corner they cut.

They are not state assigned (the word you were looking for, I believe, is "Public Defender"), as that cannot happen in civil cases. They are however, pro bono, in the sense that they are doing this for free.

Actually courts do sometimes appoint counsel in civil cases. It isn't a right, though.

Okay, tbf, you are right, the courts can appoint councel in certain causes of action (like 42 U.S.C. 2000e-5(f)(1)), but that still is entirely on the courts' will. It isn't forced to. So, kinda wrong about that, should have worded it better

If that's the case those bias courts should be appointing Russ some top tier council. Russ can't do it all himself the guys disabled and so are his lawyers.

Get Mark Richards in there defending Russ. Except this time instead of saying "shoot me" he'll be up there in his opening statements saying "ugh, fuck me nigger.....fuck me nigger"

Yes, I am aware, but by not fixing those mistakes, they made two more mistakes, and phrasing it like that seemed more pleasant to me.

I'm not inclined to be so pleasant, so I'd probably phrase it more like "your amended appendix fails to correct the following" and give them 24 hours instead of 3 days to fix it.

Luckily for them, courts tend to be really generous. Way more generous than I'd be.

No. They're going to represent him to the best of their abilities. The only question is whether their workload allows them to dedicate the time to actually properly represent him, but that's a "them problem" so to speak.

Court Assigned was what I was trying to say. I don’t think they sought him out, just saw whatever claim they saw as a usually open/shut case, then RUSSELL

I’m going to have to spend some time reading up on US law; a lot of my assumptions are based on the state being the one to file most criminal charges (felonies), civil is everything else

They have literally only two cases as far as we are aware. This one, and the SCOTUS one which they admitted to the 10th circuit court of appeals twice was far more important than the Russ one.
They could still have it buried at the bottom of their list of priorities. behind doing their laundry and snorting coke off a hooker's breasts.
