I was wishing for someone to say that when I started this thread. That and a cuckoo clock.
Sadly, cuckoo clocks are way over $50 if you want a classic one; the ones under that are really bad. I was looking for one recently, too.

The Kit-Cat Klock company has a robust repair/upgrade section, so if later you want to add glow-in-the-dark hands to your Klock, they have you covered. If you elect to go over budget, they also have some fun colors.
