Max Boot is to conservatism what Deadspin is to online sports media. He should lose the hat, since it doesn’t help him achieve the vintage gumshoe aesthetic he’s going for; he instead looks like a massive faggot.

But…(full disclosure- I didn’t read the article since I don’t want to give them clicks) he has a point. Even people I know who are very much on the right found Trump’s personality to be grating at times, so I can only imagine how much it got on the nerves of moderates/anyone left of that. I consider him to be the best president in my lifetime, but there were plenty of instances where I wanted to bang my head against the wall repeatedly. Some of the stuff he was saying/tweeting pissed me off because I knew it was alienating independents and not really doing much more to further endear the people who already supported him. It felt like he was pissing his unbelievable political windfall down the drain, rather than expanding his support.

DeSantis supports the same, strong policies that earned Trump a wealth of popularity. In addition, he’s very tactful. Not only are his remarks/statements/comments/zingers/call-outs simple enough for the majority of people to understand (this harkens back to Trump’s simple vocabulary making him more accessible to more people), but he delivers them in a succinct and in-offensive way. Ever watch him humiliate a reporter and receive a standing ovation? It’s fantastic! And there’s nothing his enemies/the press can do to paint him as wrong, because he tells it like it is and stays truthful. He’s very efficient in this respect, especially with the juxtaposition of Trump’s word salads that made it harder to take what he was saying seriously. Plus, the media shat on Trump so hard for *how* he delivered his statements, so the underlying truth/meaning of his remark was lost in the media hubbub. With DeSantis, this problem doesn’t exist.

The media is gradually waking up to this reality. In essence, DeSantis is Trump, sans the personality issues that were responsible for his greatest losses in support. They’re so goddamned afraid of him because they see his potential to be *unstoppable.* DeSantis can absolutely pull in the majority of independents and even peel some non-prog support off of the democrats. And if Trump decides to run again…if he plays it cooler, keeps his promise to not go back to Twitter even if Elon permits it, and is more measured and calculated in his public statements…well, then you have Trump minus what was his biggest defect. At that point, Trump really becomes a force to be reckoned with.

The left should be afraid. Very afraid.

"Republicans won't compromise. They're a lost cause and becoming increasingly fascist!"
>Why?
"They won't give us everything we want and told us no."

I love how Republicans won't compromise when the last FIFTY FUCKING YEARS has been Republicans compromising and making sure the Dems feel like they have a seat at the table.

When we ask the Dems to compromise, it's LOL Cry harder! We're in power, fuck you!

No, now we don't compromise.

Sadly the republicans are still cucking. Gun control and amnesty shouldn't even been on the table and abortion legislation only didn't happen because of the birth+ rules dems wanted. If it had been roe codified the republicans would have voted for it.

Just more news about American priorities right now:

Biggest concern via Monmouth poll:
33% inflation
15% gas prices
9% economy
6% bills/groceries
5% abortion
3% guns
3% health care
3% unemployment
2% tuition costs
2% housing/rent
2% safety/crime
1% civil rights
1% climate change
1% coronavirus
1% education
1% illness
And what are the odds that the main platform for the midterms for the democrats will be abortion and guns, something that only 8% of the population thinks is the biggest concern?
What are the chances that these 8% are already hard VoteBlueNoMatterWho? 100% ?

If they run on this, which I think they might, they are insane.

The thing about rigging elections is that you need a bunch of radicals willing to do the work in the first place. Gun Bans, Abortion, Covid, and a handful of other issues are what drives leftist radicalism.

You also need lot of money, but you can alleviate some of that by driving the radicals even harder, as with proper ideological incentive, they do more work for less.

In short, Abortion is the Red Meat for their base.

Fuck that shit, I don't like his personality either but he did a good job. You aren't electing a "who is the nicest person in the graduating class" you are electing a fucking president.

I want someone who's a boiler plate asshole.

I want him to be able to look a foreign leader in the eyes and go "No, eat shit. This agreement you're trying to put on America is fucking garbage. Get fucked, Commie."

Not "Oh, we need to get along."

We need to go back to leaders who aren't afraid to tell foreign governments to get fucked. We're fucking America. We spend more on military bullshit than your country makes in ten years. Go back to babbling in your fucking mud huts.

We also need leaders who do what's best for the American people, not a select group of elites and their interests/businesses.

We should have never agreed to the Paris Accords that gave India and China special benefits and told the US that they had to have the carbon footprint of a deserted island.

Brandon’s White House must be a more miserable working environment than Walmart, OfficeMax, and Dollar Tree combined. I would assume there’s a lot of quarreling, and colleagues that aren’t exactly friendly with one another. Whatever happened to Joe’s promise to fire anyone who doesn’t ACT NICE?

I can’t imagine another operation in the US today that affects so many people that’s more fatalistic, rudderless, clueless, demoralized, aimless, disorganized, late, staffed with no-talent, and just…hopeless.

The first compromise was letting the Democrats manage Black culture. Of course, unfair law and order regulation contributed in part to that.

The Biden admin won’t cop to a recession even after a second quarter for negative GDP.

“I don’t care what anyone says we’re not in a recession. We may be in a depression but not a recession!”
The retards that are the current administration know a depression is worse that a recession? Or is that too much to ask of them?
