The rumors of a PTR being used was absolutely absurd mainly due to the fact the guy is a massive lanklet and the force of 7.62nato would knock him on his ass and the amount of wounded from the shooting. seems likely that gun was the actual one used in the shooting too since a 5.56 from 16 inch barrel will still be going fast enough to blow your insides up especially from the close distance he was shooting from. even .223 from a 16 inch tube(slower than 5.56 since velocity is measured from 24 inch barrel instead of 20 inch) with the cheapo tula and wolf ammo would still be going fast enough for terminal ballistics(blowing up your guts effect) within a couple hundred yards

9mm and .40 are both pistol calibers. The Sub2000 is essentially just a pistol with a longer barrel and designed to fold in half to pack for camping or a hike. The replies in that first tweet trying to explain that are hilarious by the way, all the people swearing there's never a need for a gun in the woods! Anyway it takes standard Glock mags which come in both calibers but Glock only makes factory 33rd mags in 9mm (at least that are readily available). After-market high-capacity .40 mags surely exist but my experience with .45 says they're usually junk. How long was he shooting for?

That's just to get a referal, of course. Seeing an actual specialist who can actually do something about your condition will take a (so far) indeterminate amount of time. Truly the greatest healthcare system, and totally worth paying for.

Two months in advance is still better than not getting to see one at all because you didn't get in the daily tickets because scalpers bought them all.
The American healthcare system is so expensive because of the regulations and the equipment. Negative pressure ventilation rooms in hospital rooms? MRI, CT machines at a regular doctor's office and not a hospital? This shit is part of the reason why it is so expensive alongside admin deadweight and not being able to turn down homeless.
You try rushing a friend to a hospital 80 miles away to find out they don't even have electricity nor an X-ray machine.

You try getting in a car crash seriously injured. Get to a hospital, and the first concern of the ER is to demand you pay 4 months wages to not leave you to die from a severed artery.
