Well, despite my current state of apathy about the entire shit show placed upon us, I still believe Americans relate to their core values. In that, even though sketchy as fuck, people could believe Donald actually had Russian whores piss on him... because he's The Donald and has the money to play perverted fuckshit stuff like that if he chose to. As believable as Zuckerberg, Besos, or Musk paying dearly to spooge all over some whore's face.
They're rich and can obviously pay to spooge in anyway that trips their trigger.
DeSantis is NOT from that mold. Not at all. And while they could propagate anything they want against him, the majority of Americans will see right through the D lies like a translucent onion in a frying pan. He's got a hot wife, they work well as a team and they're both wearing slime shedding armor.
It's a big fucking dead-end for any libs that even attempt it and a BIG neg for them in political returns.
Granted, I'm not schooled in political fuckery as you are. (bows and kisses the ring) but I AM average Joe American and all of us have a bullshit meter that goes ballistic when something absolutely reeks of shit.

Once upon a time, I paid money to WaPo just to shitpost in the comments. I came away realizing that liberals have no joy in their lives, live to be constantly MATI, and want me and everyone I love dead.
Redditors and twatterati are reasonable by comparison. There's a remote, but above-zero, chance on those platforms that you might have a fruitful conversation, or some semblance of mutual understanding.

From what I understand Trump is actually a teetotaler, so he apparently has restraint in some regards. He also displays unusual behaviors for someone of his class, such as liking McDonalds, so all things considered it makes some degree of sense that he might be cleaner than most. With that said, I've head he has done some scummy things, like not paying his casino construction workers what was agreed upon, although I could be missing something in regards to that. I also doubt that would really be the sort of thing you could use to get him.

The only thing more sketch than a real estate billionaire is a construction contracting company. I can guarantee you his contract with them had stipulations for X Y and Z and they tried to fuck him (because contractors ALWAYS try and fuck you) only he caught them and pointed to the contract that says "you get paid less for shit work." And they'll be bitching about that until the day they die because the screwjob is only supposed to go one direction.

The difference between business and politics is in business, you need to stay legally clean, because there's always some prosecutor out to fuck you and make a name for himself. That doesn't mean you're ethically clean, just that what you've done stays within the letter of the law. Oh sure, your company might have committed regulatory infractions, but you, personally, need to be clean. Everyone knows they got Al Capone on tax evasion.
Politics, by contrast, works by bribery and blackmail. You don't get to the top unless your hands are absolutely filthy. If you had done the deep dive Mueller did on anyone else in Washington, their would have been absolutely infested with foreign collusion, kickbacks, quid pro quos, you name it, because that's just how stuff gets done in Washington. The fact that they had nothing on Trump to blackmail him with, that he wasn't owned by anybody, was a huge part of why they hated him so much. He was something nobody in either party can tolerate in the White House - a President who is more loyal to the American people than to major donors, foreign interests, or three-letter agencies.

The right doesn't do political bombings, not organized ones anyway. That's the left, and yes, we're right on schedule for Antifa cells to start performing terror bombings to try and "trigger the great uprising that will bring forth real communism" or whatnot. People don't remember that in 1972 we had something like 1500 leftist terror bombings in a single year. We're entering a shitty remake of the 70s -- this time in HD -- and that will mean that the Weather Underground and Assata Shakur's Black Liberation Army will be echoed by Antifa and Patrisse Cullors's BLM.
Same bullet points as the 70s, in fact:
- They believe the entire country agrees with them other than a vanishingly small number of unhinged evil madmen.
- They have systemic support (media and low level government intentionally ignores their terrorism, the National Lawyer's Guild is openly providing support)
- They have extreme epistemic enclosure (they NEVER hear anyone who disagrees with them, the social media algorithms block them from ever seeing it)
- They're losing political and social power, making them desperate.
When this ends, the answer has to be to continue purging them until they don't HAVE a safe haven to retreat to. No more grievance studies indoctrination mills. No more open marxists teaching economics in our schools. No more degenerate freaks using a union to protect them from being punished for grooming children. We have to have learned the lesson of the 70s, or the next time these fucks come back after indoctrinating idiots and children for 40 years, they'll just be even more insufferable.
