If you are using the extension to return the dislike then it's using it's own api and dataset. It's more likely the data hasn't been pushed out or simply the relatively small userbase(2mil on chrome and 300k on firefox) hasn't downvoted it.I'd expect to see a few bots or people mistyping on the phone app. I've seen a fair number of videos over the past week with thousands of likes and no downvotes. I suspect YouTube is experimentally kludging something that zeroes out the downvotes without actually making the fundamental changes under the hood they said they were going to implement.
The extension collects the video ID of the video you are watching, fetches the dislike (and other fields like views, likes etc) using our API. The extension then displays the dislike count and ratio on the page. If you like or dislike a video, that is recorded and sent to the database so an accurate dislike count can be extrapolated.
In a better time, @It's HK-47 talked about how Trump was a state's witness against a mafia owned concrete company back in the day. I'm not smart enough to find the post, and even non-google search results are filled with articles complaing about Trump being one of the few buying the price-gouging concrete and no mention of how he got even. That's what really amazes me. How did someone who make his billions doing real estate and development in NYC and Jersey avoid any business contact with the notoriously mobbed up construction industry there in the 70s and 80s?
Do people egg and TP their house? One of my neighbors still has a Biden sign in their yard.
The Days of Rage. That's the left, and yes, we're right on schedule for Antifa cells to start performing terror bombings to try and "trigger the great uprising that will bring forth real communism" or whatnot. People don't remember that in 1972 we had something like 1500 leftist terror bombings in a single year. We're entering a shitty remake of the 70s -- this time in HD -- and that will mean that the Weather Underground and Assata Shakur's Black Liberation Army will be echoed by Antifa and Patrisse Cullors's BLM.
That's rich, considering how many political witch hunts Trump's has had to endure after leaving office.Fun fact: The Clintons once ran for office just to make investigating them for wrongdoing politically nuclear. If she runs in 2024, at least in part the idea will be that Trump won't be able to go after her in 2025 because to do so would be seen as using the justice system to go after a political rival.
If that lone wolf take some requests, mine is get rid of that Lenin statue in Seattle.View attachment 3465585
I don't know anything about the shitty nu-age "statue" that was damaged in Georgia, but if it was some sorta post-modernist / marxist bullshit to dunk on the rest of us and it was taken out by a lone wolf righty, well, 1. I'll admit I was wrongish (but still, organized violence is only done by the left) and 2. ... does this lone wolf take requests?
People always seem to misunderstand why that stature is there. If I recall correctly, it is owned by an anti-communist, who dips the statue's hands in red paint to symbolize the blood on they guy's hands.Lenin statue in Seattle.
Exactly what I was referencing. Specifically, this oft-shared summary and discussion by David Hines. The Days of Rage.
There is a book by the same name, people should read it.
Heres a copy if you want the physical book:
or you can get it here, if you are not morally opposed to illicit downloads:
The hard Left selectively uses violence, normalizes it with weasel words: “Direct action.” “Diversity of tactics.” “Nonviolent property damage.” “Antifa.” If you want to know why Righties will get down with streetfighting, if it comes to that: take a look at Antifa. A good long one.
Part of the bargain of civilization is ceding the authority to commit violence to the State. (Has its own problems. Beats the alternative.) Lord knows there are people I’d love to beat the shit out of in the street, but if I don’t get to then neither do you. No, I don’t give a flying fuck who they are; you don’t get to do that.
Lefties say, “Well, that’s Nazis, they only do that to Nazis; Nazis are different, you have to shut that shit down, etc.” Great. Except that Lefties pull the same “shut this shit down!” stuff on mainstream Righties on college campuses, all the while calling them Nazis.
Hell, Lefties said Ted Cruz was a Nazi, Mitt Romney was a Nazi, George W. Bush was a Nazi. I’ve done human rights work that had me working in proximity to the U.S. military, so at a professional meeting a Lefty called me a Nazi.
So if you tell me that I’m a Nazi, and tell me people I respect are Nazis, and tell me you’re in favor of going out and beating up Nazis, guess what? I am suddenly very interested in the physical safety of Nazis.
And I’m Jewish.
I had mentioned that statue and decided it might be fedposting, especially if some madlad actually goes out and does it.If that lone wolf take some requests, mine is get rid of that Lenin statue in Seattle.
Btw, any other memes showing that former not so great monument?![]()
Not gonna lie, I figured you'd be in to it.Damn, that body went over the hill.
The left is allowed to break the rules, you aren't. That's how they keep things "fair."That's rich, considering how many political witch hunts Trump's has had to endure after leaving office.
I believe it... not the "it was a mistake" part, but the bot automatically flagging something.Twitter apparently claiming that some kind of automation flagged them mistakenly. Sure..
My dorm went there to do the paint thing as a floor in college. The reason the dude was attracted to that statue specifically, when he went combing through what I'm sure was a wide array of available Lenin statues post-1991, is because it's one of the rare ones where he's wearing a more military getup, rather than being depicted as some kind of austere philosopher or scholar. He considers it the more honest way to portray Lenin and his legacy as a dictator.People always seem to misunderstand why that stature is there. If I recall correctly, it is owned by an anti-communist, who dips the statue's hands in red paint to symbolize the blood on they guy's hands.
David Hines
David Hines is great. His work to try to educate the right on what work when it comes to fighting the political fight endears me to him. The fact that he heavily studies the left and their tactics/strategies/operational awareness and then tries to get the right to apply at least some of the techniques makes him a rare breed indeed.Hines just did a review of a book about organizing against the left: Rules for Anti-Radicals.
This is intentional, the left works very hard indeed to ensure the right doesn't organize.David Hines is great. He is one of about a dozen people I know of who is actively working on getting the right to fight smarter. Of those, well over half come from traditional leftist background (labor unions mostly.), and the other half is made up of righties who finally decided it was time to figure out how the left does it.
To say that the average rightist organizers understanding of Power Politics and Pressure Campaigns is underdeveloped is a massive understatement.
No, I've never seen it. Several of my neighbors have Ukraine stuff in their yards (flags) and blue and yellow ribbons/stickers on their mailboxes. And I live in a red county in a red state.Do people egg and TP their house?
Move to a different neighborhood. You're surrounded by virtue-signaling NPCs.No, I've never seen it. Several of my neighbors have Ukraine stuff in their yards (flags) and blue and yellow ribbons/stickers on their mailboxes. And I live in a red county in a red state.
I see that in red states too. It sounds like you're in a suburb filled with wine moms who fuck dogs and HOA that throws a fit for changing your oil on your driveway. No, I've never seen it. The right also does this to themselves. How many time have we heard that public pressure campaigns are un-conservative? How many times have we heard that an organization "glows" even if it is just three grandma's and their dog? The right hates to see the right organize and be successful. Which is ironic that side which supposedly values natural order hierarchies hates applying them. This is intentional, the left works very hard indeed to ensure the right doesn't organize.
In fact, they even do it in the culture war -- a major effort during and after GamerGate was signaling out people who would organize and network with others and target them for deplatforming.
