I wonder why now? Granted, I usually wouldn't scroll back six months and I've found twitter search to be a pain, but I never really saw people asking or complaining when I used to check up on the scam every six or so months. Has he made any waves outside of his echo chamber lately?
No idea as nothing even remotely having to do with Cosmo would ever get my money, but I can only assume that a very significant percentage of "backers" were people like us, and a fair amount of them probably follow this thread. Cosmo's recent activities have sparked a spike in interest, specifically his digital makeup nonsense, and so as this thread and overall Cosmo "buzz" got more out there I'd expect some of those backers to start asking questions again. Then again, the people asking could be just looking to push buttons / get updates and not be backers at all, who knows.
She actually responded. I mean lets face it, she could disappear and kickstarter wouldn't give a rat's ass.
Cosmo himself has admitted multiple times that, while he has no communication with Jane or anyone on the movie and has no idea when it will be coming out, he guesses they are having a rough time coming up with a narrative because of all of his behavior since then. If you read these 2 articles you can see that Jane's original movie premise was that all of us "cyber-bullied" Cosmo solely for his transition. This of course could not be farther from the truth, and it also says Cosmo was "one of the first" tranny speedrunners, when we of course know this to be false as well.
Actually from her point of view it's already a success, as she used whatever rough cut she has of the film to get herself accepted into several programs free of charge to pad her resume. Even if the film never comes out, she probably already got what she wanted out of it. The fact that her LinkedIn still has this film as her main thing leads me to believe she (obviously) is not very talented at what she does and likely just scams people out of money the same way Cosmo did. Just look at all the effort and frequent posting that went into the Kickstarter campaign to rase the $50k versus her activity (or, perhaps more accurately lack thereof) since then. All she's done with the money is get herself into several workshops/programs for film makers and then financed a move from New York to LA.
