Surprised he didn't already have a thread, he's amusing enough for one. Nice job.

Edit to add: I actually had an email convo with him back in '98 or '99 about affirmations. Whatever he may think now, he honestly and deeply believed they worked at the time.

Scott Adams is a nutjob. He developed all these weird neurological conditions like focal dystonia (couldn't draw) and spasmodic dysphonia (could barely speak) and wrote a bunch of stuff about how the aforementioned "affirmations" helped him overcome them, etc.

Also since he's terminally online and will probably read this thread anyway, here's a couple of dilbert hole comics from rotten.com that he got butt-hurt over:

"I think you should kill yourself Scott"

I never read Dilbert as a kid, was more of a Calvin & Hobbes fan. I liked Win Bigly as a story, but around that time I watched his JRE appearance and Scott came off kinda unhinged even back then in 2017. Now I only know him as the guy who constantly rants about the Teachers Union and saying that fentanyl killing his stepson is based because at least he didn't shoot up a school. Uhmazin'.

and like someone said earlier the best thing to come out of dilbert was cboyardee's videos

Hey, if I were him I might believe in it too. Going from a total normie to a world famous multimillionaire by drawing a comic strip? That's pretty hard to wrap your head around, and might inspire some magic thinking. Too bad people like Scott always ignore the millions of poor sobs who remain poor sobs even after affirmations/praying to God/super yoga/etc.

I can't wait for Scott Adams to join KF.
That would be hilarious. I'd love to hear his take on some of the other cows.

The affirmation stuff might explain why he went so far down the covid panic rabbit hole.

In the blog post about his influencer girlfriend, he bolds and underlines the fact that he and her dad go over and approve the pictures she posts?? Like it’s a good thing?

I liked Dilbert growing up, had no idea the creator was such a nut. Maybe he should’ve used his affirmations to help his son not be a druggie.

I honestly assumed that he had a thread already, that's how nuts he is. He's only become more unhinged as the years have passed.

Also, if anyone was wondering what it looked like when Scott Adams comes across Patrick S. Tomlinson in the wild. The interaction is just as retarded as you would expect.

Amazing. Fatrick comes across as the less insane and annoying person.

Like everyone else, I'm surprised he didn't already have a thread. Great work OP.

I know the mods/Null wouldn't agree with it...but this must be the easiest cow to tip in the world. Literally just disagree with him and he flies into a rage.

Just because this is his thread doesn't mean he loses every lolcow crossover slapfight, Patrick is sperging in the first post and Scott interjected once. In the second one, Scott talks up his funny man status as a rebuke while Patrick remains more aggressive while still accidentally conceding the point to Scott.

Cool, I got the feeling Scott was a bit weird, but did not realize just how extensive his ungluing had become.

Encyclopedia Dramatica has a couple of articles detailing Dilbert and The Dilbert Hole, which are worth a read. In the takedown attempts of TDH, Scott apparently sounded like an edge lord.

I seem to recall he did a self-insert into his comics at one point as well, which is a occasional trait seen in bad webcomics. I'll have to find it again.
