General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Vshojo as a company just needs to be upfront about it and can auditions. Let's be real the actual recruitment process they do is basically scouting for major content creators and offering them an invite. If you don't get through by being big enough than you can maybe get accepted through nepotism via already being friends with a member.

I think I'm getting unreasonably pissed about this because this feels like something similar I went through for college. Working towards something and giving them paperwork after so much effort only to be told "Nah sorry you were never going to even get in in the first place" is absolutely infuriating.
The so called "audition process" is there so the company can still be legally defined as "agency". Basically, virtue signalling and checking the box kind of shit.

Welcome to the recuritment hell. You're already there.

They don't have to pretend anything to qualify as "agency". They are a talent agency and their vtubers are their clients, not their contractors(like its the case for Hololive and I assume Nijisanji too).

The whole "audition" shit is just idol kayfabe.

Sounds like she is probably living her last month of the contract in her current house without having a new one as she thought she would, doesn't sound that serious to me
Probably. Worst case scenario she can sleep at someone else's apt or just get an AirBnB

You don't need to have an audition process to be legally defined as a agency though. Early Hololive used a scouting recruitment method up to Gen 3.
