Disability and insurance fraud happen all the time in this country. Just because people aren't jumping at the opportunity to break their kneecaps doesn't mean that people aren't becoming marginalized on paper to collect benefits. You see this with gender, sexuality, and race too where marking the correct answer will give you an advantage like college applications or job interviews.
Becuase you can claim you're a member of the alphabet soup and literally do nothing.
Why cause painful damage to yourself when you can self-diagnose autism, PTSD, etc. and get access to victim culture anyway? That's enough to instant win most social media debates, but if someone aims for a tugboat too I remember the "how to act/what to say to your doctor to get a [x] diagnosis" posts on Tumblr (which I'm sure never fooled any honest professional)
I don't think people strive to be handicapped.

I've noticed an increasing trend of sheltered, spoiled snowflakes claiming they have PTSD and other mental health disabilities that they can just turn on or off for victim points whenever they want. They ruin the meanings of these words for people that actually suffer from them because no one takes the actually sufferers of these problems seriously when evey random snowflake has a self-diagnosed mental health disability.
Could it be perhaps that you guys regularly post threats of actionable violence (i.e. "Punch Nazis!"), where-as the supposed "Nazis" on Twitter tend to keep their mouth shut in that regard?
If I was as evil as @Bender I would wish that those mothers attending pro-choice rallies, when they get to be elderly and it's time for their children to take care of them, said children would reply, "Sorry, mom, but you're just a parasite sucking up our nutrients of time and money" and then euthanize her.
Has HumanityStrong stepped outside in Canada lately? Like outside of his gated community. Homelessness is Canada is up not only since the pandemic, but in many cities with liberal mayors and city councils prior to the pandemic.

Agreed. There are consequences for these kids diluting the meaning of the illnesses they claim to have, but they don't give two shits so long as they personally get the attention they want.
