Hey new friend, don't worry about the other people telling you not to shoot it, they're just joking around. Why don't you ask the guy who built it for some of his "pissin' hawt" handloads, and livestream yourself shooting them in your sick new AK for all of us to see? I bet it would be really cool!Just picked up an AK, was pretty cheap cause the dude made it from a parts kit custom built. I know a lot of people say they're dodgy but ehh I don't plan on shooting it very often and it looks pretty well made to me.
The only bolt guns with irons are safari rifles and even then it's going out of style. You could pay a smith to add irons to a rifle or you could use that money on a better scope. I know what I'd do.Also are there any modern era 30.06 rifles that come with iron sights as I was looking into bolt actions and like almost all had no iron sights.
There’s a small handful of 308s that come with irons, like the ruger and savage scout, and the mossberg mvp patrol. Like @1Tonka_Truck said, not much in 30-06 current production besides safari rifles. Also are there any modern era 30.06 rifles that come with iron sights as I was looking into bolt actions and like almost all had no iron sights.
Not a bolt, but you can get a Browning BLR in .30-06. Also, up until recently I think Miroku was making an 1895 reproduction in the same caliber. Also are there any modern era 30.06 rifles that come with iron sights as I was looking into bolt actions and like almost all had no iron sights.
He doesn't live here anywhere near me. It was a ship from over 100+ miles/km away.Hey new friend, don't worry about the other people telling you not to shoot it, they're just joking around. If he's lucky he might end up on one of Brandon Herrera's Darwin Award videos.Hey new friend, don't worry about the other people telling you not to shoot it, they're just joking around. The Tikka T3x Battue and Battue Lite are two that come to mind that are also chambered in 30-06. There's also the T3x Arctic, but I think it's only chambered in 308 and 6.5 Queermore. Also are there any modern era 30.06 rifles that come with iron sights as I was looking into bolt actions and like almost all had no iron sights.
Just ordered one of the Rio Bravos over the weekend. $270.Neither.... get a pump .22/gallery gun, takedown if possible. Shoot everything from .22 Short CBs to those hypervelocity varmint zappers. Winchester made them for decades, and Rossi just started again (in wood or polymer). I think I saw the Rossi pumps going for $350 last time I was looking, and they're not that bad (certainly nothing a little tuning couldn't improve).
That reminds me that I'm in the market for another boltgun since I got fucked on a bull-barrel Savage that wanders all over the paper - used three sets of mounts from the shitty Vortex pair it came with to a pair of Warnes and then some Sigs I had lying around with two different scopes. The Tikka T3x Battue and Battue Lite are two that come to mind that are also chambered in 30-06. Tikka's are hard to beat for how much they cost.
That's ok. You can actually make the bullets yourself! Just dip your bullets in lighter fluid before you shoot them. It makes them go faster! Make sure to stream it! You'll be able to prove all the mean people in this thread wrong and look super cool!He doesn't live here anywhere near me. It was a ship from over 100+ miles/km away.
Lever gats are cool, I have a Uberti 1866 yellowboy that I absolutely love, but imo they are better at being Brush Guns/Hog Guns or Rimfire Plinkers. That reminds me that I'm in the market for another boltgun since I got fucked on a bull-barrel Savage that wanders all over the paper - used three sets of mounts from the shitty Vortex pair it came with to a pair of Warnes and then some Sigs I had lying around with two different scopes.
The American in me wants to try out the Henry Long Ranger but I've wanted a Tikka for a while now.

If it's a manual-feed LR, it'll shoot CB shorts. I have one on the way as well, and the ability to use .22 short was a key selling point.Just ordered one of the Rio Bravos over the weekend. $270.
How do we know what ammo it actually can handle? The manufacturer website just says 22LR.
That chassis seems decent for a tacticool 10/22 build, but I like my cheap-ass Magpul Hunter one. Nothing sticks out to catch on shit, nothing rattles, stands up to rough use.I did it, to change out the stock and while I was doing that, decided to stripe clean it. Taking out the pins and putting them back in, was hard.
Though what are folk's thoughts on the Midwest Industries chasis build for the 10/22 as it looks interesting.
The ancient caliber war where Thirty Odd Six was best because two world wars and factory projectiles were heavier, which stuck throughout generations. Also consider .270 instead of .30-06. I have no idea why people still like .30-06 other than "muh garand."
Them deer getting more armored up with each year, old calibers won't take them anymore. Guess the marketing people have to earn their keep somehow. The ancient caliber war where Thirty Odd Six was best because two world wars and factory projectiles were heavier, which stuck throughout generations.
These days there's a much wider selection that isn't entirely milsurp so just about everyone gets an opportunity to dunk on dear 'ol .30-06 once in a while. The new flex is .300 Remchesterby Magnum; can't down a whitetail without it.
