The Gun Control Debate Thread - Controlling autism since 2022

Chad Chink had no access to any firearm. 5 people were killed and 8 injured. Not 3-4.

Now let's ban high performance sport vehicle.
I fear the government will soon introduce some sort of fascist car control.
Where you require some sort of "driver's license" to drive a vehicle that can be taken away from you if you can't handle that responsibility.
And you're only allowed drive "street legal" vehicles in public which have been deemed safe by the government.

I have to disable my adblocker. No way in hell. Just paraphrase it if you'd be so kind.
"In its 2021 annual report on state gun laws, the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence gave Illinois an A-, making it eighth in the nation for the strength of its gun laws. California, New York, Connecticut and New Jersey were among states that ranked higher."

Joe Rogan would probably be pretty happy to hear that Illinois is eighth in the nation for the strength of its gun laws, according to the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. He's a big proponent of gun control and has talked about it at length on his podcast. He would likely applaud the states that ranked higher than Illinois, but he would also caution against getting too complacent. There are always ways to improve when it comes to preventing gun violence.

Your argument does put forward the notion that current gun measures are not nearly strong enough. If a state with A- sold that gun to that psycho, then the efforts should be doubled to destroy and get out of circulation as many guns as possible ASAP.

We're not saying gun control laws aren't restrictive enough, we're saying gun control laws are more harm than good.

Or maybe gun control just doesn't work?

Or maybe it's not done properly. Again, if a lunatic at 22 can get such a gun, perhaps there are too many.
Did the Feds also helped him with his hairjob and mumble rap career?

Gun control laws didn't kill all those people. People with guns did.

Edit: A cool video uploaded. Showing that half of guntube is police (or Military) fellating. "What guns do X spec ops/police use? Because they are so smart, cool, and in videogames. So much for resisting the tyranny.

Bad people with guns kill, because a gun is a tool that can be used for either good or evil. "But muh Uvalde" Those cops choose to be a bunch of pussies while tazing the parents trying to get to their kids. Those parents are ten times the hero the cops ever will be.

Okay, cool. Parents are heroes, etc blah blah 21 people are still dead, 19 of them are children, all because a maniac had access to assault rifles. I guess getting called a hero is a nice consolation after your infant son or daughter was violently gunned.

Well, David, I'm sure your classmates are singing your praises wherever they are.

Let's pretend it's possible to makes guns magically vanish and that the apparently lazy would-be mass murderers wouldn't find other methods to conduct mass killings, you still need to justify removing people's right to self-defense against attackers and a tyrannical government (even if it's improbable).

But it did. Name a mass shooting here since Port Arthur. There hasn't been a single one in twenty years. I'm not trying to pretend that criminals and domestic murderers won't use illegally obtained guns, or just knife each other, but the phenomenon of some depressed teenager or political extremist blasting into a crowd of random people is absolutely something that gun control stops, and if you want to use Australian data to argue against gun control that is the one point you need to concede.
"but the phenomenon of some depressed teenager or political extremist blasting into a crowd of random people is absolutely something that gun control stops"

Nigga what? Yeahh, who needs a gun anyways if you've got nothing more than a Srbosjek and the neck of some serb?

Petar "Pero" Brzica (born ca. 1917)[1][2][3] was a Croatian Franciscan of the "Order of Friars Minor" order who became a mass murderer during the Ustaše regime. He committed his atrocities at the Jasenovac concentration camp during World War II.

As a member of Ustaša, he held the rank of Lieutenant.[5][6] He won a contest in which he used a curve-bladed knife, also called a srbosjek ("Serb-cutter"), to kill newly arrived concentration camp prisoners.[7][8][9][10] Brzica boasted of winning the contest by killing the largest number of prisoners – 1,360 people.[11][12] Other sources set Brzica's "record" at a lower number, between 670[13] and 1,100.[14]

If blades are obsolete, I would love to hear your thoughts on this Franciscan serb wrangler. Or 9/11 (3,000+ kills, <33,000 maimed; stolen jets, no guns, only blades, pepper spray and fake suicide vests; even bare hands on Flight 77 since they got their items confiscated at the airport). The most killed by a gun in one incident was 69. The only thing you've got is frequency. That's it. Guns are more common because literally anybody can pick up a gun and just shoot it. But on average, it's about 4 kills or so, because you're not taking into account accuracy or other factors. Very rarely do you make it past 50 (this has only happened twice in the US). At least not in lone wolf style attacks we keep hearing about that Biden keeps pointing to.

Also, your statement makes no sense whatsoever. It'll stop the occasional high profile extremist or lonely incel, but not your average everyday crime? Doesn't sound like much of an improvement really, since that already accounts for most gun murders in the US annually. There are maybe 1 dozen mass shooting (4+ kills) a year, with maybe 2 or 3 dozen killed as a result.

Tl;dr? Ban niggers, not guns.

I still don't see the problem with a Glock. With situational awareness, and some common sense it would solve %98 of violent encounters.

Also, the US still has black sites all over the world. I want to know if the people of Guantanamo bay should get rifles and kill their captors.
