Because unless it's a severe and/or obvious defect like Gura's detached ears or Anya's flat face, a huge percentage of the viewers don't really care about the live2d quality. Many fans probably care more about talent's personality or stream content than how their model looks. For example, I have never seen someone claiming they like X talent because of how smooth their live2d is. Heck, one of Marine's most popular stream was when she just use a PNG cutout (the one where she roleplayed as an old woman).

Holocure is a huge draw. Hologirls streaming it get triple the viewer counts when they play it, it's carried over to smaller streamers as well.
