General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Well if anyone asks where I was when I found out Shinzo Abe was assassinated I can proudly say I was reading the Vtuber thread on Kiwi Farms.

Translation straight from /#/
> So yeah, I'll be moving out.
> Why this became urgent is... well...
> It's hard to explain this properly...
> There were many small problems with the room already.
> I thought a lot about it, and came to the conclusion that moving would be better.
> [Did you open a hole in the wall?] no! *more chat bantz*
> [What about the deposit/advance?] Well yeah there's various issues, the original plan was to live here for a long time after all. *more chat bantz*
> Once I decide to move, I usually take around a month to slowly move my stuff.
> This time, well, even the moving date hasn't been decided yet. It's really short notice.
> I'm preparing to move while looking for places to move, I'd like to finish moving by the end of July, so it's a bit of a hectic situation.
> If I did things normally I would've been able to stream while moving, but yeah right now things are a bit hectic, so I might not be able to stream regularly.
> [Wanna move to Mari-Lamy place?] *some discussion about them and more bantz*
> It's not like 'something happened! gotta move!', but more like 'something could happen in the future', wait that's also concerning wording.
> Well there's a lot of this and a lot of that *laugh*.
> Thinking of all sorts of "possibilities" you know.
> Right yeah that's a good way to say it. When I thought of all the 'possibilities', I went 'hmm'... and thought that it would be best if those 'possibilities' were stomped out before they could form.
> Whether it's related to work or for my own confidence, I decided to do things 'properly', and so I decided on this.
> [Risk Avoidance] - comment.
> Oh Yes! Genius! That's the term! Risk Avoidance, yeah.
> I've lived with Yuujin C for the past 2 years, and it'll be the first time I'll be living alone in a long time, so I'm a bit nervous.
> Of course we're still friends with her. We're not fighting or anything.
> [Is your friend moving?] Since she has the current place, she's not moving in the near future. I'll be moving first (heavily implying that KSon will also be moving soon).
> I'm still planning to go on that planned trip with Yuujin C.
To be fair she should have considered this, Kson especially should have considered how it would go down. You went from an indie to working for a competitor of Hololive, after you get another Ex-Hololive member to join your group, said ex-member was accused of breaking NDA and leaking important information. Yeah no shit Cover doesn't feel happy with someone like that having a direct link to the goings on at Cover, not only is there the issue with Kson coming off as a competitor poaching people, she's tied to the hip to a girl who insists that yes she did leak things but it wanst that bad, with Cover responding she did leak things and it was that bad.

I know some people will say Cover is being extreme, but if Kson has been looking at moving to Vshojo since March then she could have talked with Kanata and Cover behind the scenes to arrange things instead of just springing things on people and letting people organize things. Cover management has many issues, but it's pretty obvious they wouldn't want to risk talent living with a competitor who is also working with a girl who leaks confidential information. I wonder how much Not-Rushia will leak to Vshojo when she learns English.

So when will people ship Suisei with Kanata since both are now homeless?

Kanata stream:

Cover making her move out. So much for not interfering with their lives lol.
New rrat: Hololive was too afraid of having the welsh sex master cannur interacting with actual JP talent (pure maidens) instead of being quarantined with Calliope Mori (complete whore) and Kson being a prestigious Vshoujo JP Gen 1 founding member was just the last straw

Hearing rumors of Kson's member posts referencing or talking about the situation. Anyone with access want to give a peek?
Literally just the one post. Probably a Rrat.

Edit: I got it from the taiwanese vtuber discussion website.

As easy as it is to immediately point fingers and blame Cover, I'm sure this happening was a risk that kson knew about, she's not stupid. And she weighed the pros and cons on whether to go through with joining Vshojo and risk being separated from Kanata, or stay indie. And she picked Vshojo.

Cover wasn't a fan of her being an Indie and staying with Kanata, as is hinted at by her in the stream just now, but in the end, didn't see an issue. Her joining one of their largest competitors outside of Nijisanji though is obviously a problem in their eyes.

It's a shitty situation, but there isn't a single boogyman.

Can Cover literally force Kanata to move out? No.

But they can say in no uncertain terms they'll enforce their contract, which is likely quite strict w.r.t. NDA.

So while I doubt they outright told Kanata to move out, I imagine they outlined what constitutes as breaking NDA and what would get her terminated. And the level of risk living with Kson is too high. In practical terms you can see it as them forcing Kanata to move away.

That being said it is Kanata's decision at the end of the day. Cover can't terminate Kanata's contract for no reason and they can't force her to move out. If she was comfortable that there wasn't any risk or if she was comfortable with the risk then she could stay.

Kson recruited Mikeneko. Does Kanata trust Mikeneko to never say anything ever if she happens to see something while being invited over to their apartment? The answer is apparently not. If Kson doesn't recruit Mikeneko would Kanata feel more comfortable staying? Probably.

So they're all adults and can choose what's most important to them. And unsurprisingly Kson and Kanata both prioritized their extremely well paying careers.

It appears she has restricted them under the level 2 membership tier. Interesting.

The world everyone sees, the world we see and the world we want to show is so different

It's sad, but a world built on a lot of tears and sacrifices isn't a good world, a world that uses vtubers and fans like hostages isn't a good world!

But the emotional bond between vtubers is strong at all times
Even if you're not allowed to show it to everyone, you still have deep friends.
You can't control what's in your heart, no one can!
Let's go everybody time to have fun

Honestly shit like this really makes me hate Kson. She just gives of shit stirring vibes saying shit like how bonds are so much stronger, after she strains relations between her "friend" and their employer. Then you have the fact that this shit is hidden and vague passive-aggressive bullshit. "Vtubers and fans as hostages", bitch you are now literally working in a rival company with a girl who supposedly doxxed other members and made some batshit posts about wanting to bring others down, no shit Cover doesn't feel happy about living arrangements with their employees. When you add in the shilling of Vshojo (remember guys, there are absolutely no cons to working with Vshojo, they are the only company that gives you money and expects nothing back) it just comes off as her being sly and malicious imo. Enjoy burning those bridges I guess.

Sana and Ina collab
Sana, explaining why she screwed up retelling the Tanabata story: I don't remember things that aren't worth remembering.
:story:

It's cute that Botan sent a wish in Japanese and English. She doesn't interact with the ENs as much as some of the other JPs. Also cute and a little sad that Kaela's wish was "to laugh out loud for real". Had a goofy laugh, suppressed it while she was in e-sports, and now can't switch it back on?

I need to hear more of ID3 but as of now with Coco gone there's still only a few in the "soul" tier category of singing:

Ame, Sana, Fauna, Choco, Noel. Council nearly doubled the list.

Then there's ones who uses their character voices as limiters but are usually solid e.g. Pekora, Miko, Korone, etc.
Kobo can sing. Besides her original song she has a cover, a bunch of archived karaokes, and pieces like her birthday song for Kiara. Zeta has one cover so far and one unarchived karaoke where she sounded tired. I don't think Kaela has ever sung on stream, so she's the only possible addition.

As mentioned earlier, Marine is streaming solo, but Pekora is also doing a members stream at the same time. According to LiveTLs on Marine's side, she said there will be a Pekomari off collab and they've talked about it for some time.

Wonder if they are having trouble with the private server? Seems like getting Holo in Rust has been active battle for a while now.

I genuinly don't know how you read this much into what amounts to a statement of "it's ok we're still good friends even if you don't see it directly"

Passive aggression? bridge burning? Sly and Malicious?

The funny and maybe a little bit ironic part is the disdain for people "Treating vtubers and fans like hostages" can apply to fans as well that act like schizos and make shit up like this because they have an axe to grind with another vtuber/vtubers too because you have to ignore their actual agency (as in their freedom, not company) and use them as a just a tool or bludgeon in an argument.

they had to reschedule because Cover has now forbidden Pekora and Marine from living together in Rust

I don't know the nuance in the original Japanese text.
But, the English translation can be interpreted that there is a third party that forcefully prevent Kson and her friend to be living together, and Kson hate it. She also wishes that she can show her friendship with her friend freely.

My guy if 'Moving on with her life and getting a new job in the industry' is inherently enough to strain relations between a company and one of their contract workers then I can confidently assert that the problem doesn't lie with Kson.

Wasn't all this disproven? The only concrete evidence we have is that Mikeneko leaked the identity of her manager. Hardly the Julian Assange of V-Tubing she's being made out to be here. She's a retard, not a Machiavellian villain who has connived her way into a new company. If Cover are divulging sensitive info to contract workers and then shitting their pants when that person is free to get another job then the problem probably doesn't like with Mikeneko either.
no shit Cover doesn't feel happy about living arrangements with their employees.
That sounds like Cover's problem. Your suggestion in your previous post was that Kson should have approached her former employer for a meeting to have their blessing on being allowed to have a new job without uprooting her living situation and sense of security, which is a heretofore unseen level of corporate prostate-tonguing on this thread.

I'm sure Cover in all their boundless generosity and charity will assist the freelance contract worker they take issue with in getting a new home. I guess we should heat the frog in the pan and ban Hoshikawa and Matsuri from talking ever again, because there's no chance those two have already bitched about work stuff when they're together. Wall them all off entirely, actually, I'm sure the pang of 'Talent Freedom' will continue to ring just as hollow.

When you add in the shilling of Vshojo (remember guys, there are absolutely no cons to working with Vshojo, they are the only company that gives you money and expects nothing back) it just comes off as her being sly and malicious imo. Enjoy burning those bridges I guess.
What bridges? She doesn't work for Cover anymore and has no responsibility to appease them. Management wouldn't even let her hang out with EN because she was considered a poisoned well while she was still working for them but somehow moving on and promoting her new company is seen as some kind of malicious act on her friends. Give me a break.

The last I'll say on all this is that I trust grown adults to wipe their own ass. I just wonder where the people justifying Cover's hypothetical actions and lambasting Kson's draw the line.

Indeed which I mean I'm sure that's been a frustration for some time now with it being a concern that her voice even be heard on Kanata's streams.

My point was more to the fact that it takes some work to jump from that to "Kson is being passive aggressive and malicious"
Person I was replying to pretty clearly has some axe to grind jumping to not just one but several of either the worst possible interpretations of a statement or situation, or just some pretty wild baseless assumptions "Kson comes off like she's poaching people" (Even if angel is Rushia, and even if Kson is why she's joining vshojo, she wasn't poached, she was fired, poaching requires scooping someone up who's already employed to change over, not onboarding an unemployed friend) "Rushia Doxxed people" or just generally assuming that Kanata and her never spoke about the situation between March and now. Like some of this is logic defying bad faith interpretation.
