Ignoring the fact that it’s largely a myth that “educated people support liberal policies”, the whole tweet is nonsensical.

(Who exactly do you count as “educated”? If you include every socialist who studied basketweaving or gender studies, or every Trustfund kid who studied Trotsky, the. Yeah, they’re more liberal. Ask doctors, economists or STEM majors, and it’s a totally different picture.)

The tweet supposes that “well educated” people read more fiction. But where would they find the time? Don’t they have important high educated jobs and stuff?

Wouldn’t the most empathetic people the poor slobs who got nothing but time to read and housewifes reading romance novel?

Are business men more empathetic because they read thrillers and spy novels on their business trips? Or Evangelical Christians? They read the Bible every day!

Ironically I think the opposite is true. In places California we went great lengths to make businesses and public spaces cripple friendly and provide lots of benefits so they don't even need to work. Combine that with the fact everyone drives (including a lot of cripples) there isn't really an opportunity to see them in the wild. They drive to were they need to go, go in, get their shit and leave with no problems. Meanwhile my current city is so inhospitable to cripples that they can't even use the sidewalks, they need to use the street to drive their wheelchairs and I'm not sure about the benefits they get because I see them all the time hawking lotto tickets or gum and stationary at big stores and subway stations.

They are too far off the deep end to even concieve that other people might support other things than those they support or have a different system of values or morality. Socialists and those more moderate will appeal to centrists and even sometimes concede, but for SJWs it has to be their way or everything has to be torn down.

Like many probably have said, the SJWs are a cult of radical leftists. And pretty much other leftists will bow down to them under threat of being cancelled.

I feel exactly what you mean. I have been to Europe and Asia, they do not even compare to how handicap excessable the US is. Once I asked my architect friend, he said that its mostly because of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Basically, every commercial and a good protion of residential buildings need to be able to have people with disabilities to go through it easily. Europe or Asia don't have this

This stands out to me because I think you've hit on something-

They don't see their opponents as fully human.

If you believe your opponents shares some humanity with you, you figure you could calmly explain your side and let them decide for themselves.
If you don't believe they have human reasoning, you must resort to baser instincts (fear, shame, aversion to pain, physical or mental) to get them to behave the way you want them to.
