General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

One thing I'm wondering is with the current anti-Hololive sentiment going on within Vshojo's community how exactly does Ironmouse feel about all of this? Despite the anti-idol and anti-corpo feelings brewing around Ironmouse is still a big Hololive fan and is currently the acting bridge/diplomat between Hololive and Vshojo. Keep in mind Ironmouse is also an OG Vtuber from the Kizuna Ai era.

Edit: Also Lilypichu (formerly on Twtich now signed to Youtube) was just talking about how she wants to transition to vtubing to her main content going forward once her model is done
Honestly watched Lily back in the "Golden Age" of LoL and she kinda was a person i was surprised never went Vtuber more because she was for a long time basically the anime voiced girl plus her character drawings and stories were cute and would fit. I know she had the major push back by the tards when she had her first model cause "only doing for the veiws" even though she was basically a png streamer most of her early career.

On the one hand, this is kind of a fair point...

On the other, if my oshi just straight up said "I don't love you guys" I would probably cry and cancel my membership. You're selling a dream, so let me buy into it.
As someone who's only gotten into vtubers at the end of last year, I was not around for any of this type of drama, but just seeing that; the thing about it that is offputting to me is that she gives examples like "Thank you for the subs! Thank you for the superchat! I love you!". More than just not loving chat, it sounds like she is not genuinely thankful. And there are people out there who throw around the word 'love' willy nilly, and they do mean it in their own interpretation of the word, which makes it sounds like she's attacking any content creator who does that.

I generally do think it's good to not throw it out there willy nilly because people will often misinterpret it, but there are also many different meanings of love and I'm sure there are streamers out there who do actually feel genuine love for their audience (even if chat may misinterpret 'philia' as 'eros').

She had commissioned a model that cost about 5k and only used it a few times. I think she mentioned not feeling like the model represented her and I think she gave it away to a friend (or sold it) but I don't know its even being used.

I mean if that were the case actual semen demon Choco who wants to find a good husband wouldn't exist.
That's because the concept of "idol" people talk here and the English side of the community is a misconception of what people in Japan thought as "idol". Hell, nowadays lots of "idols" in Japan and Korea date all the time. "Idol" is just a marketing term nowadays, usually when a company wants to sell an "image" of a talent

Companies that are still dabbling in the classical "idol" that most EOP know nowadays are actually struggling to maintain their standing, like Johnny's and the 48 Production

I still hate Artia for being a retarded wumao (I fucking hate wumaos with a passion, Coco or no Coco) and cryptoshill but she has a point.

And Pippa literally says I don't love you guys all the time, but still cried on her anniversary, that's why I still love this schizo yabbit.

Couldn't reply to the other comment but anyway geez, sometimes I forget how expensive vtubing can get. Only time you'd be able to save money is when you can just do everything yourself but I've seen even artists pay other artists to do their models and rigging for them, with how tedious the process of drawing the model and rigging it gets (depending on the complexity) understandably.

But then again, they could spend well over 20k-30k and it still wouldn't give most of them any shred of an actual personality or charisma.

Maybe it's just me who can't fathom spending that much money on something I could just do myself.

Mousey its an extremely optimistic person, she sees the good in everyone even if they are pieces of shit, i dont know if its due her health condition that she is like that, idk. If there is an anti sentiment she just ignore it and focus on the good.

And take in mind, she wasnt a big holo fan since the beggining, same as most of us she just started by reacting to clips without knowing what hololive was about, then she jumped on the train like everyone else when hololive became more popular than ever in mid 2020. Its almost the same as what happened with the TTcrew and Karen, they werent fans of her from the start, they just became close friends because Karen became popular as their alter-ego. Call it clout chasing (even i want to), but considering how the mayority of western hololive fans didnt started before 2020 i cant blame them.

Fauna back and chatting about her trip

Moomers doing the same later

Miori streaming with a "special guest" tomorrow. She is still in California. Possible off-collab with the rrat? ( :optimistic: )

I somehow completely forgot about that recent council (plus calli) off-collab and was wondering why Fauna was talking about the off-collab that happened months ago.
Because that last off-collab stream was a fever dream.

I said a while back during Ina's ISP war that it was a racket up here.
Canada being this close of having 1 state mandated ISP to protect everyone of mean comments

In indonesia is mirror japan, fans get worried if a idol doesnt get married because she could become a christmas cake and encourage them to get a husband, is surreal

The more I think about the Kanata situation the more I'm genuinely annoyed at kson. When Coco graduated, she put Kanata through an emotional rollercoaster. This had 0% to do with Cover and 100% to do with herself. Yet Kanata for a full month put on a happy face and supported her. Till the last day and Coco had her Live in which Kanata easily was the most emotional out of all of Gen 4. Which is saying a lot considering this is the same generation as Watame and Towa and she still lived with her.

Fast forward to now, kson decides to join Vshojo. And I'm reiterating myself, knowing full well that the likelihood of having to be separated from Kanata due to joining a rival company being very high, makes that decision regardless. Again, putting Kanata in the same situation.
