I am skeptical about claims about "the transhumanists" but it does seem that troons and the gender doctors buy into the idea that the human body is malleable to the point where you can fill it with cross-sex hormones the way you can take Braveheart out of the DVD player and insert Pretty Woman.

This raises further questions (ie "Why the fuck would you think that?") but, as this isn't the general tranny discussion thread, I'll just say that it appears to me that certain claims and practices have acquired a protected status and cannot be questioned in polite society (which is why we're all hanging out in the nazi incel basement with the Taliban).

Personally, I didn't have a clear "peak trans" moment but this was certainly part of it: being shocked that there was so little concern about the quite obvious long-term health risks of "lifesaving" "gender-affirming medicine". I've said this before but honestly I believe that your average troon-shitposting Kiwi Farmer has a far deeper concern for trannies' health and wellbeing than their "allies".

This is really the thing that's the worst about it though, they tell me this works and it's not placebo and I read what they say and it all sounds like exactly the placebo effect since nobody can explain how it's even supposed to work. So I'm like cool, I want to learn do you have more on this? And I best I get is that bad trans survey where people who take hormones say it makes them feel better. (But not enough to not still constantly be depressed, anxious, suicidal, etc.) You'd think for all the rhetoric about how denying a trans person their daily HRT for even a single day will cause them to kill themselves it'd be pretty easy to show this since the number of actual anti-depressants you'll collapse like this from after missing a single dose is basically non-existent yet we supposedly see this effect with all trans people (both MTF and FTM despite the different magic hormone) but it'd also be LITERALLY DANGEROUS to study this skeptically. Maybe these studies do exist and it's easy to explain how things work but nobody seems to know where these documents are being kept!

But you're right that this is a bit off topic for Tony's thread, since Tony's sole motivation seems to be that of a drug pusher who earnestly believes in the quality of his product to where he takes it himself. Although another way to look at Tony's cope about cutting off his dick is that he actually doesn't believe too much in HRT since it's cutting off his dick that he awards with completely eliminating all of his life long dysphoria.

One way Tony fits in is that he's yet another one of these troons who thinks that the proof of HRT's magic is so great that any kid who asks for it should be given it for life without question since it's nothing but clear upsides with not a single downside. Tony's politically Christian. When he joined his church as an adult he picked Presbyterianism in the only instance of growth Presbyterianism has experienced since the 1960s. The church he picked has a congregation that is old, white as fuck and clearly affluent - and then he became a Deacon (aka Presbyterian Reddit Mod) as fast as he could so he could put it in his Twitter bio. I actually wonder how often he makes it to church anymore since he doesn't bring it up much, and because Presbyterians are so desperate for membership they will never call him out on absentee deaconship.

I truly think it's all just part of his very carefully crafted persona that he's hoping to someday use to either get into office of some kind or to at least get paid as a speaker. I'm extremely doubtful about his actual personal conviction.

Also, everyone knows that judges are well known as and widely regarded as the foremost experts in the medical field, right? Anyways, Tony should get his reading comprehension skills up because literally only 1 of the dozen reasons listed in his selection from the ruling actually pertain to "harms that are caused by denying trans medical care to trans teens". The one reason relevant to Tony's claim is "the deprivation or disruption of medically necessary care for the parents' adolescent children", which is true. Parents should be able to obtain any medically necessary care required for their children's health and well-being. Wether or not puberty blockers and HRT are really "medically necessary" is very much up for debate, but that's another topic. Every other reason listed is related to being the subject of an active child abuse investigation and to privacy rights, and all of that is debatable if the investigations actually end up being deemed "warranted".
