The armor and riot gear worn by Japanese police does say "Police" in English for some reason.
Japanese: "Oh, a man dressed like a cop with POLICE on the back, that must be a police officer, I should get out of his way and let him do his job."
Gaijin in Japan: "Nigga what the FOOK is a 警察?! Fook that, I wanna go over there NOW."

That's the reason.

Japs have used masks for at least a decade or two defore Covid. Usually to deal with smog, cigarette smoke, etc. I've seen footage from 2012-2017 fighting game arcades where at least a couple people are wearing facemasks. It's a bonafide part of their culture.
You're all wrong, it's a long running tradition to use a facemask to remain anonymous at your second job, because employment at one's first job is expected to be a personal and loyal relationship and having a side gig betrays that expectation, so they use facemasks as a way to hide holding down a second job.

Everybody is saying to procreate as a tribute to him, but how can you care for children when you are so overworked you have to sleep in the office? Birth rates are not a loneliness issue, they are a labor issue.
Well if you quickly put the children to work you solve both problems.

Death Standing had aspects that read like Kojima was on crack or something.
Have you ever paid attention to the story in the Metal Gear Solid games? Crack is underselling it.

Lol, it doesn't really matter. We've had this happen before on the farms. People abused the whole rating system, got said rating system taken away, cried about it, and after a while it was added back. Personally, I think the Reddit ratings don't belong on the political side of the farms at all.
Nah, stickers are fun and they reduce meaningless posts of circle jerkery where people write "Well said" and "this."

And I don't give a damn that users overwhelming declared me autistic for me writing I hope that Japan race mixes with fat ass Brazillians. I write what I wanna write and enjoy all stickers whether they're good or bad. Only posts I'll consider deleting are ones rated "Late" because yes no one needs to see me write something related to old news like "Chris Chan just revealed he raped his mother OMG."

After watching an LP of the new one, I didn’t even bother buying it. It’s not my Metal Gear. Seeing the credits after every fucking chapter was a whole other level of egoism for something that looked absolute trite.

Who will raise Japan's birth rate now? :(
This guy.

Left pro wrestling and got elected to the Diet, only had to leave after a scandal of him getting caught fucking two women at once. Guy was covered in lacerations at one point and went swimming in the most toxic river in Japan, survived. A homemade gun would have likely just pissed him off.

Almost all your ancestors had to balance being parents with having to hunt, farm, and fight to survive., 2/3 women in Japan are still able to figure out how to be mothers even with the current state of society. The issue is figuring out why 1/3 of men and women decide to not have children.
I've read several interviews and studies with women who have decided to be childless, these were European women, and not Japanese women, but I still find what they stated illuminating. In most examples the ones in their early 20s did state their personal economy a lot, but as they began having careers in their late 20s and early 30s that stopped being an issue, and it wasn't the career that stopped them either. Most of the women who decided to be childless stated they didn't want to worry about it. They thought it was a lot of pressure, and it's just easier to not have children of your own to raise.
I don't think the economy is the reason why women and men decide not to have children. I think the main reason is that without children being a necessity, there will always be about 1/3 of the population that just can't be bothered. Children used to be your insurance policy, your pension plan. If you became sick they were the ones who would be taking care of you. When you became too old to work they would be the ones who provided you with food and shelter.
Now that both men and women can live independently on public funds from cradle to grave, I think there will always be the one third of the population who just can't be bothered.
