I keep seeing such a weird argument crop up and, as much as I like laughing at stupid things stupid people say, this one is so jarring that it distracts from my fun watching a weirdo who wants to go to Mars threaten to take away the toys of someone who'd rather burn them than sell them...
Just think of a hypothetical agreement where you agree to trade some object of value to someone in exchange for a box they assure you has $1,000 in it. You both get together and sign a contract, as you do for whatever reason, and then get together to make the exchange. Upon seeing the box you notice a lot of strange colors kinda poking out of it other than the expected green, but you can't get a full look inside. Upon asking if they're handing you Monopoly money, they give you a hell of a time trying to get information at all and stonewall you. You threaten to take your object and walk, claiming a breach of the intended deal, unless they prove to you otherwise. They respond by giving you thousands and thousands of pages of information that, given the amount of time you have to try and parse through it, only seems to assure you it is clearly not Canadian money, and MAYBE 5% of it IS Monopoly money but "Just trust me, bro." This is Twitter and this is what people are defending and demand he agreed to.
All I can say to these people making this argument is that I have a box with $1,000 in it for trade if you're interested.
