I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that she's begging for pencils, or the fact that she's begging for Crayola pencils. Crayola is perfectly fine for someone who just wants to do a little colouring in, but Polissa calls herself an artist and alleges that she has her own studio. Crayolas are very difficult to layer and blend, they lay down hard and very dull. For roughly the same amount of money Polissa can get a set with admittedly fewer pencils, but much better blending and layering ability, with much more vivid colouring. If she were an artist of experience she should know that.

I am in no way insinuating that everyone who buys pencils should be dropping insane amounts of money on horrendously expensive sets of artist grade pencils, I'm saying that her pretensions and her actual presentation yet again, do not match.

Straw poll of people who have walked around the freezer section in their local grocery store because it was so goddammed hot outside and you didn't have a/c? It can't just have been me.

Public libraries are amazing and underused. She could even sit at a computer and "write."

I had to use library computers for school projects back in the day. She’d probably complain about only being allowed on for a certain period, but the rare times I needed more than the max daily limit I could pay a dollar or two for an extra hour.

But seriously, libraries are so underutilized and underrated. You’d think “intellectual” Polissa would be all about them.

She has a house full of animals who need to be out of the heat as well. They get no mention.

It’s just me me me with her unless she remembers them for the grift. If I didn’t already know how useless it is I’d donate just for the animals’s welfare.

Crayola has “adult” colored pencils, but I don’t know if they’re just repackaged kiddy ones or closer to Prismacolor or better. I do agree, though. Crayola is not the worst, but anything better than very basic block coloring they are ass. Certainly not something an artist would want to use unless they liked the challenge. Considering this is Polissa, I’m just seeing womanchild wanting more crap.

They're the same.

Even better, a simple service job can keep you indoors in the AC. Comes with the added bonus of earning a paycheck so that you can also buy an AC unit for your home and pay the electricity bill for it. Incredible Southern Sunmer Life Hack. But like all these suggestions, she has thought of it before and decided she was above doing it. She's entitled, the best/most frustrating kind of e-beggar.

Absolutely not just you.

In my area, going to the mall and buying a cold drink if you can afford it and just walking around/hanging out is common.

I've also gone to a liquor store specifically to walk around their chilled/cold beer section.

Going to see a movie just for the air conditioning is definitely a thing for a lot of people. I've certainly done it.

Off topic a bit but each time i see her "rescue organization" name i just read:
"Campbell's Home for Wayward Animals Who Can't Read and Want To Do Other Stuff". It makes me laugh each time.

Since we only have one mall that keeps the numbers up enough to be considered busy and its too far out, i actively miss this. I used to hate it because im not a crowd person, but you never know what you have until its (almost) gone.
And a lot of those things can be found cheaply at the Dollar Tree or WalMart.
Idk if they have one but here theres this place called Crazy Cazboys which is a mid tier overstock place where everything is one set price depending on the day. Example would be Monday everything is like $6 so anything you get no matter what it is will be 6 bucks. If she does have one within decent driving distance she can make an effort to shop there for cheap things. During the pandemic when they first opened here they would have dollar days and $0.25 days. Ive gotten good clothes, electronics, books, notebooks, etc for absolutely nothing because of these days. The only thing is that you'll have to get there early or you'll get scraps and picked over/broken things.

The room-sized, walk-in dairy and produce coolers at Costco are like a slice of heaven on a hot day, only you have to be all elite and shit and buy a membership.

Barring that, the mall. But Polissa would probably sit there and seethe at all those people with disposable income who are buying stuff for themselves that they probably don't even need, when they could be buying her things instead. She'd probably spontaneously combust from rage and envy, which kinda defeats the purpose.

Public libraries are amazing and underused. She could even sit at a computer and "write."
Or, she could read cookbooks dedicated to cheap, easy recipes, books on basic personal finance and budgeting, or DIY guides about rehabbing busted trailer homes.

I wouldn't, however, recommend the self-help section. The only things Narcissists really get from them is a new vocabulary with which to crybully other people and exempt themselves from the ordinary demands of life.

I don’t know what’s going on with this. That grammar tho.

Interesting. I thought her house just killed crockpots and that’s why she wouldn’t get one?

Now Dobby needs food. I wonder if she’s feeding him Hot Pockets?

Not to PL, but pot roasts are expensive Af here these days. I wonder how she could get such a decent piece of meat when she can’t buy a notebook ? Idk

Beef prices have gone through the damn roof (to the point that my household primarily eats chicken, fish, tofu, and a bit of pork). So either it's a pork roast [cheaper than beef in my part of leafland], or one of them has an extended family member or an acquaintance who slaughtered and butchered a cow and shared some of it. Dunno how much freezer space they have, if any, but it may have been in the freezer.

I thought she couldn't buy dog food or pay her electricity bill? Where'd she get a crockpot?

I managed to get an 11 pound brisket for $22 a couple months ago, but that was with a hella good sale and a digital coupon that worked for once that stacked. Otherwise the fucking thing was gonna be $66 before tax. Beef is so expensive that I’m mostly eating chicken and the occasional pork unless I get a very good deal on it and freeze. At least 11 pounds of brisket lasts a good time.

I guess we now have an idea where the SNAP went this month? Unless her mom bought the roast for her. This is the first time she’s mentioned this crockpot so it’s either new or she lied by omission when listing her cooking appliances.

By the way. If I remember correctly, Mississippi pot roast requires a fuckton of butter and a ranch seasoning packet? So it’s only slightly better than her usual diet.

It's because of this idiotic take that started going around.

??? Residentcommie is a fucking idiot. Frida's father was half German and half Mexican, and her mother full Mexican. That makes Frida at most 1/4 white - so now if you're 3/4 Mexican, you're not Hispanic anymore and you're LARPing as Hispanic? I bet my half black friends would love to hear about how they are 100% white now, too bad a lot of people still perceive them as 100% black. Why do these retarded Twitter leftist fake communists constantly change their rules and rewrite history?

Frida was not rich growing up, worked to support her family as a child, and was disabled from polio and a vehicle accident by 18. She struggled often with poverty or borderline poverty as a disabled adult, as so many of us do, and managed to find some support through her artistic talents, which were solely taught and encouraged by her German-Mexican father. By all available accounts, she most likely had people in her house helping her with her disabilities as she got older and sicker. She is 75% Mexican, what LARP???

I don't agree with Polissa often, but what the actual fuck? Also it took me so long to decipher her terrible grammar in those tweets. I think she's using voice to text.
