General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Aaaaand this is why as soon as she said 'I know you like being stepped on' I went 'NOPE' and closed the window. Bravo. I'll stick to hags.

I don't get the step on me crap either. Like all the other thirsty crap chat spouts at vtubers, I'm sure most of it is just memeing and not actual M's. I don't know why people can't just chat like normal people with vtubers....

OMG this. I was thinking a lot how much Shiina's personality reminds me of my sister, then she sings this which was always my sisters closing song when she was a musician. I'm not saying I dump Remilia or anything, but that song was a massive hit to my weakest ) spot. You got me Shiina.

She did good at Killng Me Softly I admit, but Gura's made me feel things. If you really like that song you should check hers out.

Shiina is the only one I watched, but I did like her. I don't mind her model but it is pretty lewd so yeah... not a lot of screenshots will be going up of her here between thirstposting and other rules. But I might catch some of her streams from time to time and see if she grows on me more.

Got Lia in the background and heard her suddenly ranting. Seems someone said something about Gen 2 either being better than Gen 1 or something and Lia just spent the next 10 minutes talking about she won't tolerate anyone putting Gen 1 down. Not sure what exactly happened or what was said but shit just felt weird. This is the type of shit she is probably better off just ignoring to be honest.
You know what man, I was going to post about something similar happening just an hour ago with Uruka. She did the same similar thing too, cause I guess someone made a comment similar to what you're discussing in the Uruka channel, and then she responded to it with this.

I mean I agree with their sentiment or what they're trying to say, but just like you said it's kinda awkward. Like yeah should support them all cause they're in this together, but I think bringing it up like this just makes things weird. Also this stupid topic of "gen 2 > gen 1" usually happens when the hype is up for the newest gen debut. Once the high goes down it slows with it too.

PC girls seem to have a fear of any becoming mean girls like Cyberlive did, because of Lumi/Yuri experiences.
Its one of the topics that makes them all uncomfortable.

I'd be genuinely surprised that any weeb worth their salt didn't know the connection day 1, being the whole thing came from the "UOOOHHH" tweet and following memes. What context would you even use it in other than that?
You will be surprised how many so gullible they didn't seem aware of the signs of actual pedo among them

Someone keeps posting pics of Lia on /pcg/, ones I've never seen even in her archived socials.
Either they know her or saved a ton of stuff before Lia went DFE on her socials.

Probably someone that knows her and finally made the connection that she's a vtuber and trying to possibly fuck with her.

So...what's the deal with official lewd twitter art tags? Like half of the people I've seen who have them do not seem like the type who would have them, so I wonder if it's just a way to segregate out that type of art? But then on the other hand, just the existence of an official one encourages it and links it directly to the talent.

First one I was surprised by was seeing one on Lisa's twitter; she wouldn't even sing the word 'bimbo' when doing Barbie Girl with Pippa because it was too dirty of a word for her, but then there's a lewd art tag. Now the dog says that it was management who told her to make one when she seemingly didn't have one prepared originally, and then the seamstress actually does seem very seiso, so her having one also doesn't seem to fit her personality either.
Lewd art tags are a way to keep lewd art relegated to their own corner instead of it being all over the fucking place. Even the most seiso vtubers will probably have a lewd art tag because they wont want to mix lewd with non-lewd content. Also telling people to not draw lewds will only lead to them drawing more lewds.

What was the comment she was replying to?

I have a feeling that Gen 1 is probably feeling a bit stressed out. Pippa mentioned feeling anxious during her karaoke stream and im pretty sure it has less to do with the karaoke part and more to do with Gen 2.

That's a very interesting scar…
At the risk of sounding like a moron C-section?
Edit: I am indeed an idiot

I feel like Gen 2 is way better than Gen 1 in most aspects but in theory that's pretty much normal progression when it comes to corpo Vtubing. Hell, I think the only time this has not happened is with HoloEN2. When Phase started out even the original talents thought it was a scam. The number of people that applied was probably not too many either. After some time and Phase actually getting recognition as a brand, more people will want to audition with them. Not only that but the qualifications will go up. It's similar to what Subaru said about trying to audition for Hololive in secret and not getting through despite already being a talent.
Women compete hardcore, but shes not wrong. Gen 1 is the bedrock and others stand on that bedrock to make their own. We've seen it with hololive, where the founding members stagnate and the new members do better. Its not been as bad past gen 2 or 3 or for holo, but EN did demororalize some existing talent.

Hence Pippas (and probably everyones) anxity. When you are the first, management will learn what worked and what didn't as far as hiring, design, promotion, etc.

It's a dick move to say that to the founders, but I expect gen 2 to have higher numbers than gen 1. My viewing habits won't change, but for people new to the scene, they will probably gravitate toward the newest talent.

Yeah I just listened to it and I agree, this would have been better to be ignored. Honestly it was just uncomfortable to listen to and agreed it was weird and went on waaaaaaaaaaaay too long.

Scar from hernia surgery, I had an ex with a smaller one that was above her belly button.

I first heard the word in Gangs of New York where Daniel Day-Lewis uses it in reference to an adult character played by Cameron Diaz. It's not originally a word that had anything to do with lolis. I'm assuming that crowd only jumped onto it because it sounds cute.

Anyway - I assume all of these girls have groomers. Awkward Asian girl ESLs are almost always someone's discord kitten, and that's doubly so for 2views.

EDIT: Here's the scene in question from Gangs of New York

The Lewd art tag is done to separate NSFW art from the general tag. Calli and Ame back in 2020 specifically said that for their particular art tag. Suisei doesn't like having lewd art in her general art tag also and while she doesn't have an official tag she does say you can use an unofficial one so long as they don't bring it up to her that often.

I honestly can't tell for sure but this is the comment she responded to with what she said previously

I think you right though the gen 1 girls definitely have anxiety.

That said Sakana will probably need to take some sort of action to keep the morale up with Gen 1. Numberfagging will cause some of the girls to feel like shit if Gen 2 suddenly shoot up in subs. Hell even Holo Gen5 talked about being discouraged when HoloEN debuted.
Lia just mentioned on stream she was nervous today to the point of scratching a hole into her leg. Gen 1 needs to chill the fuck out or Sakana needs to start getting some bulk deals on Xanax.

I think we all seem to forget the handsome and hunk Fishman hires sadgirls and menhera's.

Honestly, were it not for Null explaining the link between the word and pedo I would have still used it. So the fact that a lot of my weebs friends doesn't know about that link and continually using it makes me want to unlife myself
Can I get a link to that post linking the word to pedos? Aside from weebs the only other time I remember seeing it used was in Unforgiven (Good western film).

With all the anxiety that PC Gen 1 feels about Gen 2 I often wonder what did the first generation of Hololive and Nijisanji feel about the second generation of their respective company's vtubers. And what do they do that allieviate those anxiety knowing they cannot express them in streams.
Probably the same as PC. They may be genmates sure, but there is still competition between them for the audience. Gen 5 admitted having issues with EN, and Kiara had insecurity issues with other members of EN due to thinking she only had her linguistic skills and was competing with artists and musicians.
People shouldn't worry too much, but it is natural to see the standards be set higher and higher. HL used to take on girls with little/no streaming experience, now you pretty much need proof of experience. It still doesn't mean much given Subaru is Yaggoos oshi.
