Until there's evidence of protonmail content being made public via illicit means then I believe a locked-down protonmail account is sufficient to keep glows at bay. They've been audited multiple times by third parties, a common thing in the privacy/security community, and have done above average. According to those audits, Protonmail really is a "zero-knowledge" email provider (among other things), meaning even if they wanted, they can't crack open the emails. Not that it is a specific thing per say for Protonmail, but Swiss Federal agencies have long been corrupted by the US. While not all the cantons have this issue, there is extensive influence of the US via the banking pressure, bribes and other shenanigans in the three largest cities (Basel, Geneva and Zürich) and the de facto capitol of Bern, the federal Swiss politicians are basically compromised.
Given that Swiss wiretapping/Telecommunication log seizures are under the Servetsch d'infurmaziun da la Confederaziun (Federal Intelligence Services), it is not hard to come to this conclusion.
A good example is the tacit approval of the "incident" where the CIA ran an encryption company through Switzerland.
That said, if you don't trust them then don't use them but I don't think glows get free access to protonmail accounts.
