"If Archie wants to give up" really says it all about their interactions. When he dies, it will be because he gave up like some asshole quitter, not because his brain is literally so damaged he cannot survive. I'm positive this is not the first time she's spoken like this about him.

Im paraphrasing but she said something like "Come on Arch, it would be helpful if you'd work with me, do something for me" in one of the Christian concern videos. She sounded pissed off with him that he wasn't co operating.

I was going to ask how quickly the support would be removed. I didn’t realise it would likely be the same day! In my mind I had Hollie dragging it out as long as she could after agreeing to the decision to remove support, and then her actually allowing it to happen!

In previous cases it was within 24 hours of the verdict. If its handed down at 10.30 am it could be that evening. The hospital can move quite fast once the decision is made.

Alfie Evans died 48 hours after the verdict but its unclear how long he survived off the vent. This would be a quicker process. Much quicker.

Posting this because I had to Google it myself. DNAR stands for Do Not Attempt Resuscitation, and is simply upgraded language from DNR as it was determined to be more accurate and easier to explain to laypeople.

I can only guess that they assume a cardiac arrest is unlikely to happen so they could drag this on for ages, especially if she's benefitting from the funds she's receiving from crowd funding. The alternative really is that she doesn't believe he's actually dead, despite what she's saying in court, so this would be a 'death'

Honestly, the only conclusion I have from seeing what she's saying in court and what she's telling her follower base is that she's lying to one of those parties

This stood out to me in the news article - Hollie continually says the nurses seem to participate in her nonsense. In reality, a lot of these nurses are likely women between 25-55 who have or desire to have children of their own. I know this profession is obviously very hard already and they see children die regularly but there's so many of us just disgusted and appalled but imagine being forced to continue care on something you knew was dead. Being forced to play a charade that he has moved or blinked or that he's somehow communicated with you.

Ethically distressing is the nicest way one could put it because it's fucked up Hollie has forced these medical professionals to play her game. Seriously, no fucking wonder your kid wanted to get away...
