What's the most likely outcome at this point?

1. They let him run in 2024
2. They let him finish out the term and run someone else in 2024
3. They talk him into resigning before 2024

I give it a 60% chance of Option 4: He doesn't survive to 2024.

However, assuming he does, it really depends on how 2022-2024 goes. I expect after losing both Houses of Congress, the deep state types are going to stop floating things, and really let the bottom fall out on the economy. Not just sabotage from the executive, as the Republicans aren't getting a veto proof majority, but from independent agencies like the Federal Reserve. They will try to make the everyday man's life as tough as possible with out a total collapse and try to leverage the blame onto Republicans.

How well that works will determine if a very hypothetical alive and presentable Joe Biden is allowed to run.

But, I think they'll do everything they can to keep him going until after midterms, and then kill him in there interim, let Kamala take all the heat for the shit that 2023 and 2024 will be, and try someone new.

This assumes a level of control over the economy on the part of the feds that simply doesn't exist.
If they had anywhere near that kind of control, Biden already wouldn't be dealing with an unacknowledged recession and high inflation rates. The logistics sector and producing economy did more to stave off the consequences of COVID's saga of endless funny money than the glowies ever could.

Option 1.5, Biden runs in 2024 but loses the Democrat nomination. This has only ever happened once (Franklin Pierce in 1856) but Biden exudes weakness right now. No individual or group is clearly in control of the Democrats, at least as far as I can see. And that leaves the door open to a certain challenger with an ego the size of California.
