As much as I’d like to shit on retarded bureaucrats, this is the first response to alpha and beta contamination. You’re unlikely to be exposed to heavy levels of gamma radiation unless you are in line of the blast, or around a primary source of radiation, i.e. uranium. You can’t reverse whatever damage that has been done, but contaminated dust, liquids or clothing will continue to cause harm until they’re removed.
I guess if you're covered in stuff from the blast it might be worse to leave it on? But then you won't have time to get inside so it seems fairly unimportant- unless they think germ theory applies to radiation
I do love how this bitch acts like telling people to start using (possibly what little fresh water left as) tap/bottled water to wash themselves should be the first step in a post-nuking region is a good idea, especially if the treatment plant was ruined. Dunno how nuclear hell survival works but SURELY you'd find fresh water in nature, especially in Newk York with its crystal clear harbor.

Don't wash off, that converts the fallout and particle debris to liquid and makes it harder to clean up. Plus, if it's hot water, it'll turn it to vaporized. Rinse off with a cold water hose outside. No NOT scrub.

Radiation burns can take hours to rise to the surface. Watch for unquenchable thirst (it's why so many Japanese corpses were found down by the river and by water storage, they couldn't slake their thirst). If your skin starts peeling off like you had a bad sunburn, well, start taking Prussian Blue and taking iodine pills. You MIGHT survive, as long as you don't shit out your intestinal lining.

Yeah…this deserves all of the rainbows in the Kiwi Farms.
However, it does make one think that, with Hunter being the festering liability that he is (and with only a fraction of his malfeasance publicly known), that this could be weaponized by TPTB to force Joe into a resignation. The Democrats having no good options for 2024 has been covered here extensively, and there are arguments for and against him running.
Assuming that TPTB want a resignation (and with Joe not wanting to relinquish), here’s how they could use Hunter to obtain it:
1.) Sit Joe down.
2.) Lay out all of the evidence against Hunter that they’re sitting on. Make Joe see the scope of his son’s degeneracy. One by one, show him all of the evidence of Hunter’s (and by extension, his) corrupt overseas dealings and money laundering. Show him the evidence of his drug criminality, and ESPECIALLY, his sex crimes. Show it all to him- the hookers, illegal transports, his incestuous rape of his underaged niece/other under-18s, and the terabytes of child pornography he possesses.
3.) Afterwards, tell Joe, in no uncertain terms, that he has a choice: Resign, or they go after his son with zero mercy. Tell him with finality that they will not shield him and his trash family from the consequences of their behavior any longer. Tell him that every piece of dirt on Hunter will be revealed publicly after a humiliating arrest. Stress that he *will* be found guilty after a massive federal indictment, and *will* be handed consecutive life sentences after a humiliating trial. Then, they threaten to open their vault even more and dish out Brandon’s unknown dirt, ensuring that whatever Joe has done to destroy his legacy already is mere small potatoes. But if he resigns? All water under the bridge and they continue to shield Joe and his disappointment of a son in perpetuity.
I could see a resignation speech written and delivered by the evening, were ^this to occur, but it’s highly unlikely, considering that Hunter’s access probably means he has seen others in the corridors of power doing unseemly shit. Pinching him as opposed to simply killing him would leave their asses vulnerable. At the same time, Hunter is a massive druggie and quintessential stupid fuckup who can’t control himself. He’d never negotiate his way out if shit hit the fan with no goodwill left in the proverbial coffers.
