General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I wouldnt be too shocked if she returns one day, hopefully when her back issues get alot better and she can balance her artist and streaming job, we may have a second phoenix on our hands.
That has never happened with Hololive talents. However, this has happened before in Nijisanji JP with Sasaki Saku, but details are very scant due to the fact that translations for NijiJP are scant.

Its a very optimistic idea i will admit, but her departure seems to be drama free , just a necessary sacrifice given her current situation. If any ex-hololive talent was to return i think it would be her

>she doesn't stream
>she wasn't in the off-collab
First hiatus was because her dog fucking died.
Second hiatus was because her back got destroyed, how could she possibly be expected to take the plane to see the girls when a few months ago she couldn't even stream from her bed for more than half an hour before the pain caught up to her?

Tossing in my 2 cents on this but a back injury that's so bad that you can't even stream for at least half-an-hour, where all you really have to do is sit up, definitely means something pretty fucking bad happened. Whether it's from a minor accident or an old lingering back issue that just got aggravated as time passed is irrelevant. It just means the injury is that bad that she can't even manage to sit-up for 30 minutes. I do data analysis sitting down all day and 30 minutes isn't even enough time to go through my fucking Outlook inbox. Imagine being in that much pain and discomfort you can't even manage sitting up for that short amount of time.

Rrats will go wild nonetheless but I'm leaning more on the back injury probably ultimately deciding for her that she needed to drop the vtubing sidegig in order to be rested enough to still be effective in her main artist gig. Which is a shame, bitch seemed like a sweet and quirky girl the handful of times she did manage to stream.

Bets on Calli (unintentionally) tweeting something insensitive when she wakes up?

Essentially, she was really frustrated at Niji's failure to get any sort of a copyright deal with Nintendo (one of the most notorious JP companies in terms of being really fucking tightass about content creators) for streaming their games, which made her graduate. This was still in Niji's first year of existence, and very early on they were infamous for absolutely incompetent management, borderline to a black company point. They invited her back a couple months later, once they started sorting they shit out and got Nintendo figured out, and she accepted.

She's actually talked a couple times about what graduation tends to be like, and how to offer your support to a graduating Vtuber.

IRC she graduated because she couldn't stream the games she wanted (she was a nintendo fangirl but niji didn't have permission to monetize nintendo games), after Niji got a contract with Nintendo to be able to monetize their games stream she came back, but that all what I heard back then on reddit.

Edit: Ninja'd

The Sasaki Saku case is fairly well documented, as graduations go. She basically explained what happened. Management seems to have fucked up and told her when she joined Nijisanji that she would be able to play Nintendo games on stream, but then she found out they didn't have permissions. Since Nintendo games are her favourite games - and since she joined as a part of Nijisanji Gamers (this was back when Niji had subgroups like that) - she graduated. Ichikara was able to secure permissions a few months later and invited her to return, which she accepted.

That being said, Sasaki Saku is a definite outlier. She's the only member of Nijisanji to graduate and then return, and I can't think of anyone else in the corporate vtubing sphere who did the same thing. Given that Anycolor is a different company anyways, I wouldn't use it as precedent for anything relating to Cover.
