I just realized, that Ina/Sana cover song that's coming out is gonna hurt isn't it.

Songs usually take a fair amount of time to record and produce... makes you wonder how far back they knew Sana would be leaving.
She'd probably at least been thinking about it ever since the issues with her back. Glad they managed to get a song together before she's gone.

As others have pointed out, Gura shits on games she plays all the time, like the recent Youtuber game she played and she's fine. A simpler explanation likely just she couldn't find time. Same reason she stopped whatever she was doing with Horoscopes.

No. It was quite intentional, it was the week after debut, and it was over the worry that it might offend game devs and affect permissions.
Management was involved, but according to Sana, it was ultimately her own decision.

Even though Sana never really had a huge amount of interaction with JP I'd imagine seeing someone potentially graduating because of an injury/health issues probably hits close to home for Aki.

This is the first time for EN.

They do this themselves during NijiFes by allowing fans to sit and have one-on-one conversations with Livers at their respective booths (please see this post I made about NijiFes 2022 and scroll to the 'Meet & Greet' part for this year's roster).

They also have a 'Nijisanji Fan Club' thing which is an online Meet & Greet that cycles through the Livers. I'm not sure how this functions as I've never tried it. I believe NijiID also had some kind of local event at one point but I don't remember.

To answer you more succinctly: This is not the first time they've done this, but it is the first time to my knowledge that it's happened at a convention not being directly controlled by Nijisanji. It is also the first time for EN.

In January Coco accidentally got Sora to say motherfucker and then right after the stream finished Yagoo made a video saying Cover is an entertainment company and fans spun that as Yagoo giving up on making Hololive (not Cover) an idol agency or something. It was never meant to be serious, just a joke.

I keep hearing this. Any source of this shift from "Idol" to "Entertainment"?

I mostly got it from Yagoo's "Hello" Video

The description of the video also just refers to Cover as a "Cutting edge 2D entertainment company". Other websites like the various wikis took to calling Cover an Entertainment company other than that Cover is refered to as a Vtuber Talent Agency or a Tech Company.

As an addition, there was also that Yagoo interview that Coco did.
Coco asked him about how he felt when fans say that the Holomem were killing his Idol dreams (Like cursing or saying lewd things contrary to proper idol behavior), Yagoo said something along the lines of, "As long as the members are happy, then I'm happy." which can be seen by some as not really caring too much about the whole idol thing.

Sana seemed to be interacting more and doing more collabs and I took that as a sign that she was feeling better. It turns out she was redeeming the time, because the days are evil. I'll miss the twin bit she and Lui did for their birthday call-ins.

Yeah, I always thought there was more to the sana dog thing than just what we saw on the surface. I remember when it was happening, and right afterwards, and it seemed from some of the stuff she said that she went back to her family home for the first time in a long while when the dog died, and it’s probable that the dog dying catalyzed some kind of reunion with a semi-estranged family that was probably a bigger deal to her than just the loss of a childhood pet. I suppose we’ll never know, but I do think it was more than we saw and people were pretty rough on her for it.

I’ll miss Sana.

I don't think I've seen any mention of Sana's family in this thread before. Of course that doesn't mean she's never talked about them, but I can recall at least one second-hand anecdote about every HoloEN's family except for Sana and Fauna.
