Only ran into a possible genderspecial once while just running dungeons for a month in WoW. Didn't join a guild or talk in chat, and I'm not certain if the person who told me not to assume their gender was serious or not. I just put them on ignore to dodge any potential risk. Almost all the drama was directly game play related, which is a relief when you just want to get away from politics and gendertalk.

There’s a reason why some people develop fear of clowns, usually because of birthday parties and shit.
A drag queen is also so totally alien for kids and their pseudo “femininity” so exaggerated and disconnected from female bodies, that I’m sure all the alarm lights go off with plenty of kids.
It’s only because the super lib parents dragging their kids to these things have primed them and told them they HAVE to like it, that the majority doesn’t take off in all directions, the minute a 6 feet tall clown painted “woman” staggers out on 6 inch heels.

How could gatekeeping work for this? Access form that requires sex/gender, drop down box for 63 genders and if anything other than man/woman gets picked it’s a block?

The thing is she's entirely correct. Chav culture is a huge problem. Too many people on the dole and not enough working. The system has built itself around lazy people since the late eighties. Most employers won't employ you because you are a lazy and melodramatic pain in the arse, Mr. Petrelli. You're protected under the Equality Act 2010. Truly the biggest mark of a Gayden. Because there is nothing manlier to break down and cry when you have an argument with someone. Also, that hair looks fucking horrendous and it's terribly unflattering, even on a dude it would look ridiculous.

Harry Potter is actually very good as a book series, even though the main audience is children, adults who read them like it too(I want to read more of it) and that's why it made money. Unlike troons, JK Rowling is a talented writer. Most trannies who hate JK Rowling are jealous of her.I'm so torn when I see shelves of hideous kitschy HP merchandise aimed at adults. I feel like it would drive me insane, but I want to interview trannies to figure out the exact point that they began to feel they were inadequate men. Some trannies reject masculinity as evil, some worship chad alphaism as submissive bimbos. In both cases though, it seems like there's this sense of masculine inferiority at play. Then you add in the military troons, who seem to go to the army partially for an affirmation of masculinity they feel they lack. There's some weird complex right at the center of it all, and there's probably genetic tendencies to develop this obsession, like all mental illness. But I wonder if troons could actually find some triggering events or patterns in their memories.

It doesn't really need gatekeeping, all it needs is community moderators who aren't afraid of kicking troons when they begin exhibiting problematic tranny behaviour. While they can be insidious and worm their way into moderation (many communities have been lost in this way), if they actually get the boot, they'll just cry to other trannies about how it's a bad place. Maybe it'll get brigaded occasionally since troons love doing that, but other than that what the fuck can they do? And there's 0 risk of trannies being "stealth", because they out themselves constantly. I had to leave an ffxiv server because one kept sending me unsolicited nudes, even after I had asked them to stop, because the moderators didn't see it as being problematic, but claimed I was being unreasonable and hostile when I had blocked them.
Discord tranny jannies can't do shit if you're kicking people for problematic behaviour. The moment you engage with them or actively "block" them for not picking M/F on a form is when they get ammo to crusade with.
I remember there used to be a "gamer girl subreddit" that ended up being infested with troons. Most of the women left because the troons made them uncomfortable, and the mods were just too afraid to do anything so let it go to shit.
