<3. Just lost my former semi-feral cat at 16-ish to bone cancer, and my dog is old as the hills (he's lived longer than I ever thought he would) and the surviving cat is 13.

If Josh had lost his job in a kitchen and they were down on their luck and Gomez needed a vet visit or a month or two of a prescription diet, I'd gladly pitch in because I'm a sucker for animals, especially the old ones.

But like you said, Polissa constantly moves the goalposts and comes off as so goddamn entitled that I doubt she'd even buy food for the damn cat.

Also a sucker for animals (and kids) but I’m not giving these e grifters anything, even if someone bought her the food directly that’s more Mello Yello money for her.

Not that the cat wouldn’t appreciate it, but it’s a bandaid over a bullet hole.

Once this homeless man yelled at me and my friend walking by while we were eating ice cream "oh so you can afford ice cream but can't give me $500!?" That's how I imagine Polissa is on a daily basis seeing friends and family spend their hard earned money on themselves and not funding her lifestyle. Her and her husband are the type of people to win the lottery then manage to blow through all of the winnings within a few years and be back to where they started.

Also a sucker for animals (and kids) but I’m not giving these e grifters anything, even if someone bought her the food directly that’s more Mello Yello money for her.

Not that the cat wouldn’t appreciate it, but it’s a bandaid over a bullet hole.

Just like not buying a puppy mill puppy, the best way to help is to not give the source of the problem money to continue funding an unethical practice.

If she can spend all day furiously typing away on her phone begging for money she's capable of working plenty of jobs out there that doesn't involve manual labor. She has listed on her FB profile that she worked at call centers before. She's well and capable of doing that still since it involves sitting all day. Something she already does. And probably in a nice air conditioned building too. Now she has her job listed as "Works at Disabled." That's just embarrassing to see someone feel the need to flaunt, and, excuse my shitty lingo, cringey.

If she grifts a laptop that opens a lot of opportunities for her to find remote work. I'm surprised she hasn't used that angle yet of saying she needs help getting a computer to find work. You'll find people less sympathetic when you whine how you deserve all these things while doing nothing to help yourself.

I was about to say something similar: I had a cat diagnosed by the vet with "chronic UTI" and pushed for them to do an ultrasound after several trips back and forth where we received antibiotics that seemed to do nothing to help. They found a giant stone in her bladder. I opted to have it surgically removed and then altered her diet to contain NO DRY FOOD (it's basically poison to cats, they should be eating a diet that's more than 80% water, ideally raw meat, but canned food is best) for optimal health. After the stone removal she never had another "UTI." She passed away from an unrelated health issue 5 years later, but at least she had some relief in that time.

my childhood cat ended up with involuntary bottom surgery due to UTIs. Rest in power to my nigga Oreo.

EDIT: @Bulk Shopping For Freedom she's even said before that her SSDI covers all the bills; she just doesn't have enough for fun money. The power bill graphic looks like some shit done in Google Sheets to me, but I could be wrong. Government and utility sites still look like they're from the 90s or like bby's first HTML project 90% of the time.

Alabama seems to be high compared to the rest of the country, but 2 people who are too poor to afford a bunch of electronics, don't have a working oven, are dying of heat stroke and constantly begging for money for an AC unit, watch streaming services on the one phone between them, have a 30% higher utility bill than their neighbors? Is there a late fee in there? Is she full of shit (/sneed)?

I also found LIHEAP, Alabama's program specifically for low-income families who can't afford to pay their utility bills. Lol.
