Glad I'm not the only one who thought that scene was fucked at the time. It also happens for no reason at all and I remember watching this in theaters and nobody laughed. I don't think ANYBODY found it funny except for pedophiles who wanted to be aroused.
The comments of the video are exactly the demographic you described. But yeah, I remember being really uncomfortable with that scene now that I've seen it again. I was around 10 when this movie came out and it just made me feel weird. Not like aroused weird, but just really gross and weird, like when you see something you weren't supposed to and wish you could unsee it. Rugrats is total gross out humor which is why I liked it so much as a kid, but that scene went above and beyond gross out humor and seeing it again as an adult... It's so blatant what they did I feel gross. Also I just wanna show everyone the foot card I keep talking about.
