Is H-1B the only way to bring shitty bugmen into the country to work for you?
No, there are many other types of visas such as as OPT (used to give jobs to international students and new grads), L1 (let’s anyone classified as a “manager” in a multinational get transferred to the US), TN (for Canadians only), etc. H-1B has become a slang word that refers to all “skilled” immigration.

I was looking into the gov website about H-1B and found out there's a specific type of green card for "Fashion Models"

Literal green card whores lol

As @quaawaa mentioned, there are more ways than a straight H1-B to bring people in. Most of them nowadays come through as students for grad school and get hired through the OPT program. I think it's very rare nowadays to get straight H1-Bs. Most are usually converted over from OPTs, which usually are only valid for 2-3 years. More likely than not, if it's a straight H1-B (as in, they directly got one through a large company, not through some fly-by-night pajeet consulting company) they're probably actually skilled.

Another thing to mention, from what I recall, H1-Bs are only available for 6 years. After that, you must either apply for a Green Card or leave the country. Vast majority apply for Green Cards obviously. As long as the application is "pending", they (and their spouses) are free to work any job in the US (they are considered work authorized at that point, they get something called an EAD). So that H1-B data is a bit "misleading" if you're trying to count how many immigrants are actually in the country taking up "skilled" positions.

Edit: quoted the wrong person

I called my Beaner friend a Tacx, and he threatened to kill me the next time he saw me.
Don't you know the proper term is Latinx, you hateful bigot?
Let it not be said I am any more immune to boomer memes than our favorite soviet dictator.

To be honest, I find this sort of stuff worrying. Not because it isn't warranted, but because A. it absolutely is and B. AFAIK the USA has never had a President that has been considered illegitimate to the degree Biden is becoming. Even the South, as violently secessionist as they were in 1861, considered Lincoln the legitimate president of the USA, hence that whole "Screw you, Lincoln, we're getting our own country with blackjack and hookers slaves and cotton farming" thing they did.

I support the moderators decision since this is their boat.

Also for the topic, getting really pissed off because supply chain failures apparently only affected me and absolutely none of the douche nozzles that voted for Biden.

Where is the Biden that Putin is supposed to be scared of? Because right now all I see is Putin giving Biden a swirly.

So are actual Americans fucked when it comes to the job market? Seems like no matter what the position is, non-americans have taken over
  • Mexicans - Manual Labor
  • Indians (street shitters) - Computer/Tech industry
  • That one time Somalian refugees were getting hired to replace the nurses/doctors they fired
That's just off the top of my head
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the elites want an America without those pesky Americans.

That's a grade A meme right there.
In other words, a bullshit number that means nothing to anybody.
It's fucking hilarious that they intentionally avoid the two things that skyrocketed the most. 'Sure the price of gas is higher than it's ever been and groceries are absolutely obscene, but funko pops are cheaper!' Fuck outta here with that shit.

Perhaps if they did and made their goal seizing DC during Bull Run, the war would have ended right then and there.

Yes, because the South was going to totally forcibly occupy the entire North and all of its industry and manpower and who by 1861 had finally gotten fed up enough with the South's bullshit to kick the (political) table over a year earlier and elect Lincoln who was equally tired of it. Hell, it took four years of death and slaughter before the South's military capabilities were depleted enough to force the post-war occupation upon them, and even then it was surprisingly tenuous and dependent upon the goodwill of men like Lee despite there being a crapton of well-armed, battle-hardened soldiers crawling over the place.

No, them angling for a treaty recognizing their independence was the only realistic move, and even if the British or French had joined the war it still wouldn't have been enough to allow for total occupation.

Had they taken DC, they could have forced Lincoln to recognize the Confederacy as an independent state. They didn't need to occupy the North, but they then insisted on a defensive campaign and lost by attrition.
