As a former “asexual” yes it’s bullshit. I had a low libido and a low self-esteem, so I had no sex drive and identified as “asexual.” It dissipated as I got older, and when I met a guy I actually found myself attracted to.

Hell. I take testosterone gel as a treatment for depression caused by low levels. It absolutely makes your sex drive skyrocket, no matter who or what you are.
