For a while it was just straight-up legal in Russia to own that kind of depraved stuff, but they have introduced laws so it's not anymore. Not sure how well they actually uphold it, but at least they actually have laws now.

Here's just one famous example demonstrating this. Tl;dr- A fake baby monkey fell from a tree, and the surrounding troop freaked the fuck out and mourned its "death" like it was a real one.

Of course, these fuckheads will just mock them for thinking the doll was real, and get off to their own smugness, and the monkeys' own visible grief, but I guarantee that those monkeys showed more genuine compassion, empathy, and sorrow in that one video these bastards have in their entire lives.
