Has anyone ever heard Polissa remarking about the snake she supposedly still has in her care? Has it been rehomed? I never see her grifting for reptile supplies.

If she’s letting 11 cats live in filth, there’s no way in hell that snake has a proper enclosure and a healthy feeding schedule.

The thing is people who truly live with tight finances can learn how to have fun with little to no spare cash. Instead of a week at a luxury resort, it may mean a day trip someplace within a tankful of gas, but the idea that low income people can't/shouldn't have fun is more of Polissa's BS and grfiting excuses.

Given how many government computer systems were deployed at or before Web 1.0 with no major updates ever since, I agree with the assessment about how they look prehistoric and operate just as slowly.




If she's running large appliances (or AC units) non-stop, that could probably be a factor as would unpaid balances and the associated late fees.

She's apparently running the 2 AC units her house has that aren't good enough. I'd bet money they were just fine when she moved in since the wall wasn't rotted out then. Stove worked when she moved in, too.
How do these people explode every appliance they touch? Our washer and dryer are like 30 years old, at least. The oven is at least 30. Our old house still had it's horrid avocado kitchen appliances from the 60s or so. These people are killing new stoves, toilets, showers, counter appliances...

They don't bleed like dogs (or they shouldn't, anyway) so shouldn't require anything like that. And yeah I guess that makes sense, I've only known a one cat that old and the owner just used puppy pads afaik.

I'm going to get lots more rainbows again but I hope she gets scratched to fuck if she tries anything like that. That's also way more effort than just changing the fucking litter!

I know it's like when you see homeless people who won't give up their dogs etc but even the most poverty-stricken pet owners I've known who simply can't part with the animal generally always make sure the cat or dog is fed and cared for. If you're more interested in buying fizzy drinks and weed than pet food etc then you obviously don't care that much.

I received a letter today from the place we adopted last year eminding people they have programs to keep pets and owners together like pet food, an emergency health fund, programs for shots and other routine stuff like spaying, etc, and asking to spread the word to anyone having difficulty. It just made me feel more annoyed with this walking yeast infection for doing nothing when these options are available all over the place and people have told her about it.

Yeah, here there are low cost to free vaccinations and spay/neuters all over the place. And the food banks have a pet food section. There are plenty of resources for these turds but, as usual, they'd rather let a pet die than be inconvenienced for one second. Ugh they make me so MATI.

In all fairness, newer appliances are designed to break or require some sort of maintenance within a few years. Can't make money if everyone is using your products for decades.

That said, I'm sure in Polissa's case the reason her appliances aren't working is because of laziness for any sort of upkeep. Appliances need to be free of debris and require cleaning every once in a while. More times than not appliances have easy fixes that require a $30 part and following along with a YouTube video. But how dare I suggest Polissa take any sort of responsibility for her living situation! And she wants to keep calling her landlord a slumlord when in reality we all know she hasn't requested anything to be fixed because that would require them coming into the home. I've never met a landlord who was okay with 13 animals in their rental. I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I can't wait for the lawsuit saga for damages to the rental.

not true. many many years in manufacturing and dealing with logistics and outsourcing counters this, and outside of possibly the buyer purposefully neglecting maintenance duties, due diligence when purchasing cost-reduced models, or improper use/storage, durable goods (and most other goods) are not "designed to break". a giant portion of "designed to break" perception is the constant demand for lower and lower prices and something has to give somewhere if you want a $400 stove to last 30 years (a typical 1955 Frigidaire 4 burner stove was around $1k equivalent 2022 dollars, or about a third of a month's average pay).

i will bet you that Polissa goes through appliances because there is no maintenance or care being done for the machinery and her initial purchase is poorly informed and relying on price or brand to magically always be a good buy versus understanding the appliance, understanding her use case and choosing appropriately. the house itself probably has poor maintenance as well and bad electrical ripple on the mains or unreliable gas lines that aren't purged and well sealed can really put the hurt on compressors and exchangers.

for a power bill of $200 she's got to be running some motors constantly - portable swamp cooler/AC units, fans, probably has something dumb like always leaving lights and fans running in uninhabited rooms. house probably has single glazed windows, bad weather seals and cheap insulation (if any) and a roof that needs some maintenance. considering both Polissa and Josh aren't the diligent type and she seems to be a bit of a hoarder, they probably do whatever they can to keep the land lord out which means he can't do maintenance on the property.

Part of it could be that they're buying stuff on the lower-end of quality that is known the break easily/faster even with preventative maintenance.

Realistically, they probably have no idea how to properly clean and maintain equipment, appliances, and electronics to keep those items running smoothly for years. Even if they did, they don't make any sorrt of effort to actually perform said maintenance. They can't take care of themselves or their animals; so I wouldn't expect them to be able to take care of the building they live in and the equipment contained therein.

Twitter doesn't show her tweets because half of her followers account is inactive or bots, the other half follows 100+ celebrities and more interesting people and she does not understand the concept of hashtags to use them in a relevant way for people to find her.
