@Angry New Ager you're right about Dan being a good guy who loved his family. I guess it's more accurate to say the vibe I get from Polissa towards Josh is similar. Emily was a control freak who insisted on getting her own way, even when it was clear that "her way" wasn't working, and she definitely took advantage of Dan's intellectual disability. It reminds me a bit of Polissa. I'm not articulating it well, but it's just...something. It was always very strange to me that Emily had apparently grown up comfortably middle class but forced her husband and kids to live in squalor because FUCK YOU MOM.

I felt a bit bad for Dan, too. He was legitimately retarded and probably had a hard time understanding that he was being manipulated. I'd forgotten about his rotting teeth. There's a happy ending, I guess. Emily and Dan divorced in 2016 or so, and I believe he's remarried. Someone at FJ purported to have found his new blog in 2016, complete with a link to his horrifying fetish content.

Also, the bathroom Rottweiler was named Brad. The water kefir starter was named Therese.

NGL, your injured cat avatar is in infinitely better shape than Polissa's cats. It's unsurprising hers are scraggly because they're being neglected - largely in part because Polissa and Josh can't adequately take care of themselves let alone anything else.

I understand people having the sympathy and empathy that drives them to take animals in because they have no home, but it shouldn't be done by those who lack the means to properly take care of them. (Protip: Anyone making multiple tweets a day begging for food and pet supplies shouldn't be taking care of 10+ animals.)

Weird. I assumed it was an old stick and poke tattoo that wasn't done properly and has bled to shit. For some reason, a particular brand of trashy people find that area really compelling for a tattoo, but if I remember correctly, it's also not an area where professionals are inclined to tattoo most clients. It's an area subject to lots of wear and tear, sun exposure, and friction, which are all things that make tattoos look like shit. Almost all tattoos I've seen in that spot look bad - prematurely faded and blurry. I don't think I've ever seen one quite this terrible, though.

I've only seen indoor cats that scruffy with a cat that was fed dog food for 10 months and was malnourished and losing patches of hair from lack of nutrients in her body.

For those who don't own cats, feeding a cat dog food or inadequate food like vegan food or whatever will kill the cat eventually because dog food doesn't contain all the taurine and protien cats need as they have different nutritional needs than dogs. If she is not feeding her cats proper food they could be dead from organ failure in a few months, of course this is all speculation as I dunno what she is feeding them.

I don’t like Polissa treating a hysterectomy like a vacation, especially when she’s shitting on people donating to abortion funds because muh PCOS. That being said, given how she treats animals I don’t want to know how she would treat human children. I can see her being like Kyttie and other beggars whose kids are nearing school age and can’t talk properly and still shit in diapers. I’ve taken to calling her Polly in my head because I hate the name Polissa so much. Not like Polly is much better, but it’s better than Polissa. I noticed her mom calls her Danie (short for her middle name Danielle), so I wonder if her bio dad named her.

It seems more likely to me that someone who formerly relied on donations would spread a bit of money around, but they likely would not have much to give. It’s not a great system, is it? If only there were private and public means for distributing aid.

People rehome animals through Facebook all the time. But that would require Polissa to put in effort. She doesn't seem to grift through FB nearly as much as Twitter so that makes me think that she overstayed her welcome in her local FB pages.
