Wow, already within the first sentence you've proven yourself to be retarded. The Switch is not a handheld. It's a hybrid console. The console itself is a tablet that can either be docked for use as a home console or used as a portable device. If the Switch were a handheld, why even bother making the next mainline Zelda, Mario, and Metroid for it?
Do you seriously think they sold that much because they are hybrid console and not a handheld?
The Steam Deck is an incredibly niche item. Definitely not in the same league as the Switch, market-wise.
It isn't, currently they sell every steamdeck they produce months in advance. If you believe their statement at least 100.000 a month. Each steam deck gets a higher revenue compared to the switch, not even taking the higher priced ones into account. Besides don't make me laugh everyone with a Steam account and filled library is a potential customer.
....yeah, and? Nintendo's main market are children, families, and man/womanchild consoomers. They wouldn't want M-rated Mario, Zelda, Kirby, or Pokémon games. Even so, for those who do want their content to be more mature, there's plenty of options on the Switch.
The option is called Steamdeck pretty much everything "more" matured is ported from a sucessful pc game.
Fucking wut? No seriously, what does this even mean?
Inhouse development and sales nothing ported to other platforms
Corporations aren't your friends. Shocker, I know.
Are you sure? You seem like I hurt your feefees
Yeah, but there aren't any available, so cope, seethe, and dilate.
Couldn't care less the only console related thing I'm waiting for is the ps4 emulator development for bloodborne thats pretty much it.

Oh god they're doing the thing where they break the other person's post into ten quotes and debunk it line by line.

Doesn't stop retards like ReviewTechUSA or Mutahar from SomeOrdinaryGamers from parading it like the second coming of Christ for being "le epic Linux handheld" that is superior than the console that's beating it in the market harder than Windows already was in the OS Market.

Sales don't equate to a good fanbase, a million flies will gladly flock to the newest pile of shit. Nintendo fans are the Marvel fans of the video game market, they'll lop up whatever is laid before them regardless of quality because protecting their precious brand image of being "the best" and scoring brownie points on social media is more important than demanding Nintendo to not DMCA non-profit fan projects or sue rom sites for millions of dollars. Don't think, just consume. Fuck rocking the boat, just love your corporate overlords, goyim.
Take your pills.

Thats' called play everything on one platform like the steamdeck ..... oh wait
You mean on PC/Laptops?, which were doing that way better than Steam Deck with far more 'freedom' eons before it came out?

Steam Deck will never overthrone Nintendo since Steam is a literal "What?" to most console players, why do you think Gabe's porting his games to consoles?

(Also making emulators of platforms still supported is totally legal and definitely ethical)

Maybe your friends should make and sell their own games instead of somebody else's.

it also doesn't help that nowadays some of the stuff Nintendo put out are in incomplete states to be later fixed with free updates (looking at you, Mario spinoff games on the Nintendo Switch)
Redditor doesn't understand why people like MK8 more than some of the recent Mario sports games. Speaking of which, have there been any DLC announcements for Strikers? Because it's following the trend for the rest of the Mario spinoffs.
and when you take all of this into account I don't know why these fanboys act as if Nintendo is ignoring them when there's so much shit going on and this is something not as simple as its fix being "just hire more staff".
I think it's because Nintendo owns the rights for an lot of franchises that never had an decent game that seen the light of day for quite some time and that Nintendo had at least three development teams who were tasked with making most of the Mario games.

Now that I've thought about it, this is mainly about people who are confusing the various companies that Nintendo outsource their projects to as actual employees.

Either way, Kirby usually sells well, some people hate Dread for reasons that I'm unfamiliar with, Mario will always be an printing press. As for everything else that isn't Zelda and possibly Fire Emblem or Donkey Kong, they're essentially taking an financial risk.

You lot take shitposting too seriously, I still think if Nintendo weren't copyright cucks they could be much more successful.
Hating the Switch so much you pay more than a Switch's MSRP to emulate a Switch on something larger, less foolproof and less energy efficient than a Switch. Cosmic brain.
I tried some of the main games of the switch and I prefer Super mario galaxy 1 + 2 on my wii over odyssey every day of the week.
