Unironically yes. Look at the original Ren and Stimpy on Nickelodeon compared to the reboot when it was on...late night TBS or whatever. And Mario Paint music videos. The entire point of Mario Paint cover music is working within the limitations of Mario Paint, but then there was that stupid 'Mario Paint Composer' program that's essentially a fancy midi editor. To me it seems like an issue of people taking it overly literally to presume they are saying "our talent can do literally anything under the sun" when I don't think any member of vshojo would even claim that. Obviously they still have some rules in place, they probably have some NDAs on their contracts so they can't freely talk about all of that. But they're just able to tout the freedom angle by being less restrictive than their larger competitors and less controlling of their individual brands and ownership of their individual content.

It's sort of like when people talk about things like what constitutes free speech, even in places like this, it doesn't mean you're free to say literally anything at any time to anyone but one can still say this site has more of an emphasis on free discussion than a lot of others of it's kind.

But it's just easy and low hanging fruit to ignore that and say "look they don't have freedom Kson doesn't even say niggerfaggot on stream"

So yeah any Vshojo fan that believes that freedom is literal and all encompassing is retarded and deserves the rude awakening, but also the people coming at it from the other direction are kind of just disingenuous or retarded themselves because no reasonable person should believe that it's intent or common understanding is absolute freedom with zero limits.

I'd just caveat this with the fact that it depends on the person and isn't true of everyone. But then also that not everyone who is attracted to the less restrictive freedom that something like Vshojo might offer, might not even be looking to suddenly revolutionize their content and shatter molds.

They might just want to fuck around without suits telling them they can't do things (as much), not feel like their character and content is owned by someone else, while still having some backend support.

Creativity blossoms under certain conditions like limitations and restrictions because it forces people to think outside the box to workaround or make something of the situation they are in.

I'm not advocating that Cover neglecting talents is a good thing (I think the disconnect between EN and JP management has been fucking ludicrous at this point) but a lot of memorable projects came about because of certain limitations causing the talents to get creative. Smol Adventures, models, 3D Collab streams, the EN 3D lives, etc were all possible because Ame wanted to workaround and find a solution to EN's 3D problems. Coco made AsaCoco and did all her antics because they broke the mold and did things not thought about within the confines of Hololive and shattered the preconceived notion of Idols.

You do know the context for that was because Ironmouse held Subathon which is essentially a Twitch game that artificially spikes the amount of subs a person gets. It's why VShojo lost out to CodeMiko during Twitch's top streamer awards. A lot of the subs weren't even regular watchers.

Eh. Two members of Luxiem have already collaborated with VShojo since the Kson announcement (Shu and Mysta) and it's been fine. The fujos also fought off CCP tards trying to put fake Anti-China subs on Vox videos.
